As I posted earlier in the week, I'm expecting the recruit list for Saturday's game against Buffalo to be the smallest we see all year. The staff never really invites many prospects up for the non-conference games against weaker opponents. Of course, with the Rutgers game being at night and only one week later, that'll also impact this weekend's list. After talking to a contact today, I got the vibe that it'll probably be around 20 or 30 total, which is fairly small for PSU.
However, I can confirm that Owings Mills (Md.) McDonogh offensive lineman Jordan McNair will be in attendance. He locked that up with the staff in the past few days.
The other top 2017 prospect that I'm watching is Wilmington (Del.) Concord LB Avery Roberts. I spoke with him on Sunday to talk about his trip to Maryland this past weekend and he informed me then that he's trying to come this weekend or next. I talked to him an hour ago and he still wasn't sure about this weekend, but I'll continue to check in with him throughout the coming days.
The only other prospect I have confirmed right now is Connor McGovern. I expect the majority of the list to be made up of potential walk-on targets.
