Greg and I give our thoughts on who could potentially be the next prospect in the Class of 2023 to commit.
One player I originally had listed but took off was Kahlil Ali. I'm confident that Ali wants to commit in the near future. I'm also confident that Penn State has liked his film this season. However, I also get the impression that the staff is still trying to get a feel for how fast Ali is. That's always been the case.
So, I'm pumping the breaks a bit on Ali at the moment. I know Penn State will be actively discussing where they stand on him in the days and weeks ahead. If he gets the green light, there's a real chance he could be the next 2023 player to commit. I wanted to keep this story - which everyone can read - to four guys I know the staff will accept commitments from. Explaining where Ali stands in a story anyone can read wasn't the right move, in my opinion. Not fair to the kid or Penn State.
So, keep that in mind in the weeks ahead. Ali is clearly leaning towards Penn State, but the staff is still trying to get a better feel for whether they would want to accept that commitment now or wait to try and learn more info.
