I caught up with my colleagues who cover Florida today to talk about Tre Nixon and where they believe he stands at the moment.
As it was explained to me, it sounds as if Florida has began to shift much of their focus on a few other prospects. Blake Alderman, who covers recruiting for the Gators, basically informed me that he believes Binjimen Victor, Elijah Stove, Tyrie Cleveland and Nate Craig-Myers are all ahead of Nixon at the moment. He said that, after speaking with some of his contacts, he learned that Nixon is much lower on Florida's board than it originally seemed just a month or two back.
When you also add in the fact that Georgia's new coaching staff hasn't made a major push with Nixon yet, I'm starting to believe that Penn State could be emerging as the favorite now. I still want to speak with Nixon and a few other people, but I wanted to pass that info on since I just got off the phone with him.
