i see the UM DBs getting away with holding continuously. standard model. both UM and Sparty DBs are trained to hold on the theory they will not be called.

I haven’t seen much of the game today but did see a few minutes right before halftime.

The Michigan QB scrambled for a 1st down and stretched the ball to the marker. The ref behind the play measures it at least a yard short. They went to the review booth and said stands as called despite it being clearly short from where it should have been marked.

I knew then that the Michigan fans would be bitching about the refs (but in all fairness on that play I thought it was a 1st down and they had a legit gripe).

Problem for Michigan is that if they win today it’s bad for the conference championship.

And in case no one noticed - replay came to the BIG the last year UM won a title. They can’t count on the emotional panic of refs scared to death of making a bad call against Michigan that will have the BIG office scolding the refs anymore. Now that they are all reviewed, maybe the calls really are a lot more even.
