Emmert was the executioner, but the Nov. 2011 BOT led Joe to the gallows.
Karen Peetz, John Surma, Dave Joyner, Kenneth Frazier, Ira Lubert, Joel Myers, Anne Riley, Mark Dambly, Steve Garban, Kenneth Masser, Stephanie Deviney, and all the rest of their cronies, rushed to judgment and turned the Sandusky Scandal into the Paterno/Penn State Scandal. They are all despicable, loathsome human beings.

in the midst of an exploding public scandal, without so much as a single qualifying syllable in support of Joe Paterno, their obvious intent was to facilitate the crafting of an incriminating, false narrative for eager consumption by a gullible, yellow press and a public with zero interest in discerning the true facts of a situation. Every member of the November, 2011 Board either initiated-, publicly supported-, or conspired by silence in that action and thus grossly breached his or her fiduciary duty to the University for whose well being they are ultimately responsible.

Regarding Joel Myers
As I recall, he ran for re-election last time trying to convince voters that he had turned around his thinking some on how the scandal had been handled. Of course, few bought it, and he was not elected. As an emeritus trustee I believe he still has the right to offer opinion at meetings (but he cannot vote), so he still has some opportunity to fulfill his campaign platform. To the best of my knowledge he has not done this, so his pitch to voters was a bunch of bull.
