I was working on a little spreadsheet trying to determine when early retirement might possible.
It's a tough exercise because you just don't know what kind of destruction the GOP will reek on the following:
Obamacare: it's a godsend for the early retirement crowd.
Government pension: don't want to end up like Bgdan with my wife's pension stolen from us just prior to retirement.
Social security: From Paul Ryan to Chris Christie...GOP has been trying to kill this successful program for years.
Medicare: Paul Ryans kill Medicare plan would be devastating for the over 65 crowd.
Stock Market returns: GOP austerity (if it ever occurs) could blow up my nest egg. What type of returns to assume going forward? GOP usually means death to the markets.
