Typical democrat...............

These laurels for a man that Judicial Watch named one of the "Ten Most Wanted Corrupt Politicians" and the politician who declared that the war in Iraq was lost while men were still fighting and dying there.

Reid should be remembered as the senator who spitefully smeared Mitt Romney as a tax dodger when there was no evidence or even suggestion that he was, not as "the legislative warrior for the good of our nation" that Democrat Sen. Robert Menendez imagines he is.
Reid didn't serve "for the good of our nation." He held office mostly for the good of Harry Reid.

His legacy is stained with corruption. He's an influence peddler who used his position to set up his son with a lucrative business deal, used cash from his campaign to buy $31,267 worth of gifts from a company owned by his granddaughter, and has a "willingness," says Adam O'Neal of RealClearPolitics, "to enter political and ethical gray areas to make money.

"Reid has walked a fine line over the years, occasionally breaking rules or engaging in brazenly unseemly behavior during his pursuit of wealth," writes O'Neal. "Further, he has also used his position to save money in ways that the general public can't - a practice that creates public relations issues and raises questions about the senator's ethics."

That we have reached a place in which a person such as Reid, whose corruption plunges far deeper than the few instances we've mentioned, can receive torrents of praise rather than tar and feathers is appalling. Voters really should be more careful who they put in office.
