Funny thing is the left helped create this "sharing economy" by continually placing restrictions on business. Why not go it alone and avoid the whole thing..... So what does Reich propose? Doubling down on it. Note his choice of words.
We should aim instead for simplicity: Whoever pays more than half of someone’s income, or provides more than half their working hours should be responsible for all the labor protections and insurance an employee is entitled to.
So in Reich's world, Fish would be responsible for his day laborer's "entitled protections" if he paid over 50% of their income.........
