Some highlights (or lowlights)

"In addition, the Alumni Association made some profound advances this past year—gaining a seat on the University’s Board of Trustees and substantially revising its bylaws to position it for future success in serving its mission."

and

"Most important, we have a dynamic new University president—Eric Barron, an original thinker who is inspiring everyone with his ambitious vision for our alma mater.

And, especially noteworthy, this winter the University dissolved the former NCAA consent order and reached a new agreement, bringing football scholarships back to full complement, lifting the bowl ban, and restoring Coach Paterno’s vacated victories to the earned 409.

In retrospect, it’s amazing to see what the University and the Alumni Association have accomplished, particularly in the last few years in the midst of the worst institutional crisis in the history of American higher education."

Can't believe they are taking credit for the reversal of the Consent Decree.

That report strikes a blow for the good guys. Nothing that comes of future reports will even be remotely believed by the overwhelming majority.

Stunning how he can believe that the Alumni Association is serving its mission by denying the vast majority of alumni a voice in the organization. He asks for donations while at the same time preventing alumni from attending meetings, eliminating/marginalizing elected Council members, and not allowing otherwise qualifying candidates to stand for election. He can't retire soon enough.

Let's be fair here. Roger did none of the things that you indicate here in your second sentence. Those were all done by the leaders of Alumni Council. His problem is that he thinks it's a good idea.
