Click on account in upper left side of screen. Then click settings and information. Then click manage under subscription. Then click cancel subscription. I looked on my phone. May be different on desktop.

Btw, on my phone it's hard to see the account tab because it covered up a bit by the word wrestling but there is one underneath the feed tab in upper left of screen. If you still dont see it the turn your phone side ways and you should then see account more towards upper right corner.

My problem is I forgot my password. When I click on "forgot password" I've received NO response at least 10 times. VERY frustrating.

The Florida duals will be in 1 week—you wanna watch those, right?

I had a similar account issue a while back (typo in my email address), and this helped: support@rokfin.com
I have a Rokfin subscription, but even with that I think the Florida Duels are an additional pay-per-view cost. Ridiculous, as I'd think I'd get that as part of my subscription.

Was hoping this wasn't true. But it appears it is. Going the UFC / ESPN+ model.

From Rokfin Link to the event:

Price: $10.00

Description
Journeymen Wrestling is excited to announce the reformation of one of the most popular events of the college wrestling season. Numerous ranked teams are in the field including ASU, Mizzou, Penn State, NC State, Cornell and the defending team champions, the Iowa Hawkeyes.

Pay-per-view details
  • You must have a Rokfin subscription to purchase this PPV.
  • PPV subscribers get access to all Rokfin premium content.
  • Subscriptions renew monthly or annually. Cancel anytime.

That is unsatisfactory. On the date they start the duals I'll quit Rokfin if they require an additional $10 payment. Once an organization changes the initial deal, I'm gone. I donate thousands of dollars every year to vets, animal rescue and other charities. Big mistake by Rokfin, in my opinion.

Just to clarify, Rokfin doesn’t make these decisions. The people putting the event on do. Rokfin simply provides the tools, and the producers of the events can monetize however they see fit. Rokfin is way more like youtube than Flo.

How much of the $10.00 PPV fee goes to PSU/NLWC?

Serious question.
Martin talked a good bit about this on Bashamania recently. There is a percentage breakdown of the proceeds from the event, based on how your team performs in the duals. If Penn State wins all three of their duals, I think they get some thing like 15%. The producers I think are only taking 5%, if memory serves.

I think it’s a great model, in principle. Incentivizes wins, to hopefully limit potential ducking. And it gets our team a nice chunk of change that might have otherwise simply gone to Flo’s VC backers, etc.

It’s nice that the schools get some money, but unfortunate because Rokfin still isn’t set up to host these types of events. You can only watch from a computer or phone. Imagine the next UFC event you have to watch from your phone.

Again, Rokfin hosts no events. They simply provide the platform. They don’t employ cameramen, etc. But if you want to host an event you produce on the platform, you can. Am hoping for more streaming options though. Roku, AppleTV, FireStick. But the casting method works well in my experience.

Does anyone know if they provide access to the recordings of these PPV matches after the event with just the regular subscription?

Right. So I guess the problem is more with the NWCA or NLWC using a platform for their event that does not provide a great experience for the end-user.

I don’t need to create the platform, there are others readily available.

That is not true. I watched all of the MLWC Rokfin events on a TV.

I think Martin might say that there are plenty of other platforms, but perhaps none that pass along the value of the content to the content creators so efficiently.

I feel like there has to be a reason why we’re suddenly getting “run your own streaming event” experiences, when before it wasn’t very common.

I suspect that the reason there aren’t Roku and Apple apps is that those walled garden app stores are payto play and increase overhead. it would still be nice if there were apps though.

WHY ISN'T THIS PRODUCT THAT I'M PURCHASING FOR $20 NOT 100% STREAMLINED?!

give me a break, is it really that difficult to run an hdmi cord from your laptop to your tv and change the input?
It is when you donated all your HDMI cords to the Goodwill store cuz they wouldnt sell at the yard sale.

Really? An HDMI cord? This is a tech company, why in the world would we need to use the same set up we had 15 years ago??

I don’t need to do that with Flo which is $10/month.

because it's cheap and it works? i'd imagine developing a smart tv app is lower on the priority list when they already have a mobile app and 99% of their customers have a way to view their product on their smart tv without having a hissy fit.

I’d guess you’re wrong! With any technology company a seamless end-user experience is the number one most important thing.

Now, I don’t think Rokfin has much else besides wrestling from a live event standpoint. They are lucky to have a captured fan base who is happy to deal with some minor inconveniences in order to watch their events. If they are ever planning on growing into more live events, I can assure they’re working on this.

Because of wrestling the site grew faster than anticipated and moved into this live event space which wasn’t necessarily a part of the plan. They’re still playing catch-up.

i'm not sure how you can conclude that i'm wrong when the mobile app exists and the smart tv app doesn't; clearly rokfin prioritized the one that exists over the one that doesn't. i agree with you that the smart tv app is on the priority list somewhere, but they have to know that it's more of a 'nice to have' option for their users than a necessary component to their business model, as evidenced by more and more content creators choosing to distribute with them.
