But you can never leave….You can cancel any time.
so it's $15 to watch it live. does anyone know if you'll be able to watch a replay for free if you already subscribe to rokfin? i have the rokin already but i probably won't be able to watch live due to children, so i'd ideally like to keep the extra $15 in my pocket and watch the replays later on.
I tend to agree. Willie promised 2x per week shows and they average once every 3+ weeks or so. Basch is at times more productive but he to goes into hibernation too often as well. I will pull the plug on Rokfin this Wednesday, a victim of this particular PPV strategy. I understand that all of the services are forcing us into a PPV stance on top of a subscription. I may invest for the months where there is an event I really want to see, otherwise they have lost my annuity revenue stream. Since Flo is now annual (and I view the $30/mo bowling subscription as BS), I am out year-round with them. Now i am down to ESPN via my cable plan, and Big10+ as a result of their Black Friday deal this year. I am reasonably happy with that. When we were in the middle of COVID and Rokfin was producing great wrestling events that were part of their subscription, I was all in on what they were doing and got a lot of value from them. But it seems like since the world came back to life that the wrestling content they provide as part of the base subscription fee is mostly interviews, previews, and podcasts while I don't place much value on. Charging members who have gotten virtually no content value from Rokfin this past year $15 to watch the College Duals is the last straw for me. Particularly since, as mentioned, it is likely you can wait a day or two and watch the matches anyway. What content exactly are we paying for at this point? I want live-streamed matches and duals if I'm paying a fee.
It will cover the whole eventI’m sure this is the case, but does the $15 additional PPV subscription cover all matches/both days of the event? It’s not super clear from what I’ve looked at, so I’m hoping someone knows more than I do.
If so, I feel like I have to pony up and pay the $30, there’s only a handful of opportunities to watch our guys every year.
I think the people that have been with them since the freestyle matches at PSU during Covid should have gotten the biggest break. I agree we with the 5$ for yearly members.I understand why Rokfin did it the way they did, but I would have done something like…
1. yearly members get the event at a discount. $5 instead of the regular $15
2. monthly members pay $10 on top of your $15 membership, but u gain access to all the content across Rokfin that month.
3. one time buyers pay $21.99, but no other access beyond the duals
I enjoy all the wrestling matches I can watch. In no way do I mean to take that for granted. But I think there is a price point that could, at some point, alienate some consumers and even make it difficult to bring them back, even if the price point drops.
It cost me $30 to watch Penn State wrestle, let’s face it, two bad teams and one good team.
I couldn’t watch it on my big screen. The PBP wasn’t my cup of tea and they kept hiding the wrestling behind opaque graphics.
I spent the money and I enjoyed watching. But if more matches go this route, there will be a point where I’ll be out. Sounds like some are already there.
Once folks decide to no longer spend money on something, it’s not easy to get them to change their minds.
I won't pay for rokfin again, but for other reasons. I agree that there is very little content for 15/month and then pay extra for events on top of that. What am i paying for monthly. Rankings? Interviews I generally don't care about? Willie has a show very once in a blue moon after promising weekly or bi weekly shows. Bausch just came onto Rofkin. Not enough to keep me interested. I would rather pay to see wrestling. I think wrestling viewing wise Rofkin is a lot worse than Flo. I cancelled my subscription as well.I tend to agree. Willie promised 2x per week shows and they average once every 3+ weeks or so. 1 week after the event and I can't watch the full matches. Keeps giving me an error when I try to watch. Very frustrating when I've been a loyal customer for 3 years. I cancelled last week but I'm paid for thru Jan 20th.
Am I doing something wrong?
