Competed in (and won) the ERAU Mile High Open, hosted by the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Granted, his opponents weren't exactly household names (Marco Colpo of Arizona's club team, Jeremy Newman of Sierra College [CCCAA], and Collin Anderson of Embry-Riddle [NAIA]), but he did get three techs over them (26-10, 23-7, and 27-11).
