probably should post this under "Friday Jukebox" but didn't want them to move it over hear. This is, actually, one of my favorite all time songs. If you don't know, the story goes that the lead singer of Alice In Chains wrote this for his rancher father. They never got along as the rancher didn't agree with the singer's life choices to be a rock star. the singer, layne staley, invites his dad to see him perform "Rooster" which he wrote about his dad. So his dad gets positioned by the sound board and Alice in Chains rocks this song out. Staley opens his eyes to see his father crying...he slowly reaches up and tips his hat to his son then turns around and walks out.
