Don't get too excited, Hermy. I'm talking about sea level here. I came upon the article linked below, that says the melting of "Zombie Ice" is going to cause a significant rise in sea level. The projection was 10 inches, and described as inevitable, but the timing is still a bit unclear.
I found the article interesting primarily because of the subject of "Zombie Ice" (which was a new term for me) and the fact that it quotes Penn State glaciologist Richard Alley, who said that the report "made sense." Several glaciologists are quoted, but the article does not mention a sponsoring university. It mentions something called the "Geological Survey of Denmark and Greenland."
I also thought this article might prompt some serious scientific discussion among the conservatives who populate this Board. And pigs will soon commence flying. LULZ ...
