For several years, the Russians have been sending various aircraft into US, Brit, Norwegian, and other countries airspace. They have interfered with commercial aircraft also. Last week they intercepted a US aircraft in international air space, even doing two barrel rolls over our planes.
Time for a response more than mere letters. We should restrict their commercial planes from flying into US and/or NATO-country airports. Shut them off for a week If they do another stunt, two weeks. Third time shut them down for a month.
If we still had cannons on our fighter planes I would suggest firing warning shots but I don't think modern warplanes have them, just missiles. Can't fire a missile as a warning. Could light them up with radar and lock in on them without launch but that may provoke a return launch.
