I have to say my experience at Rutgers on Saturday was much better than two years ago. I'm sure part of that was due to the Scarlet Knights record but I also have to give credit to Rutgers Athletic Director Patrick Hobbs. He spent most of the afternoon visiting tailgaters in the various lots and when he approached ours (about 30 PSU fans) he stopped and wished us well. Sure there were some drunk students who were out of line but to be honest I saw a couple of PSU fans who did not behave too well. All in all I thought the atmosphere was great and Rutgers fans showed up in their red gear despite the fact the team is pretty bad. Can't even fault the students for leaving early...would you stay to watch while getting drenched? New Jersey is an important recruiting state for us and Saturday did not hurt. Plus being a Shore Conference guy it was great to see Gesicki, Sickels, Bowen and Blacknall come back and leave with a W.
