I was just looking online at ticket availability for the 8:00 PM game on Nov. 19th. Seems like quite a few seats remain unsold. I swore I wasn't ever going to return there after the way we were treated in 2014 but I believe this year's game will be a beat down of epic proportion and would hate to miss it. Anybody else having a change of heart?

2014 was unique in the that it was Rutgers' first B1G game and it was against us. With the sanctions, the table was set for Rutgers to win and their fans were jacked. All those things would have made it an exciting game. Unfortunately some of the Rutgers fans showed their mentalities with all the Sandusky/pedophile crap which they seemed to think was hilarious. Their balloon was burst after losing. I don't see think year's game will be like 2014. We are rolling and Rutgers is trying to find its footing under a new coach. On any given day a team can win but Rutgers will be a big underdog and their fans' expectations won't be as high. I'd go to the game if I could but I'm unable.

Hopefully Penn State fans buy those and take over that stadium.

I totally get why people would never want to return there again but it would really irritate them (and support the team) if there were as many Penn State as Rutgers fans in the stands for that game. ;)

Thinking about going with my son, two hours closer for us than State College and catch up with NJ friends.

Echoing the lines of Eddie Albert from the original Heartbreak Kid:
"Not if they tied me to a horse and pulled me 40 miles by my tongue. Not if they hung me from a tree and put a lit bomb in my mouth."

That would be wrong. They now believe they have found their quarterback savior. They also believe they would be bowl eligible if their moron coach had only started Gio from day one.

I had fun there in 2014. That was the peak of their big ten existence. I thought I ordered tickets through PSU but haven't gotten them yet. They are selling them for much cheaper. I think a pair for $134 including fees. I'd contact PSU to see if they have any left. I can't imagine them being expensive on the secondary market either.

I will be there with a group of Penn Staters (safety in numbers?!). My daughter is a freshman at RU, but I bought the tickets before she decided she is not returning there in the spring. If you know anyone contemplating being a Scarlet Knight, I would advise them to research the term "RU Screw". It is very real.

They even have their own logo for it:

Why would you give money to rutgers?? That will only hasten their inevitable ascent to being a football powerhouse.

Im on the fence about going too. Same reason as you. I have a friend who has a ticket for me but I seriously dont want to endure the harassment like the last time. Getting too old for that shiat.

If Rutgers loses their next two games, this will be a very blue and white crowd. Attendance has been putrid for them (Michigan and OSU had similar attendance that we did in 2014 and all other games have been relatively empty). I would hold off buying tickets at this point. You could probably get them for a reasonable price closer to game day.

Will make a game day decision and weather will play a part in the decision making. If I do go, it will be via NJ Transit to New Brunswick and then shuttle to the game or walk.

So i read the article, it makes no sense. Parking tickets happen at PSU also. Not knowing what classes to take to graduate, seriously? Having trouble in some majors doing everything in 4 years, duh? I didn't read anything there that isn't true of any large university.

Correctamundo. They're winning the B1G East next year.

Al says so, so it must be true.

In the meantime, the Lions are coming to Pissthataway, and hell's coming with us.

Maybe not the best article to link as these are not the issues my daughter is having, but I don't have time to discuss all of the issues she has had to date. All I can say is they do everything in their power to make it near impossible to graduate in four years.

While all that stuff may seem normal, Rutgers is great at screwing people over for small mistakes without any remedy. From what I have heard, communication with students is severely lacking in all facets.

The things they list in the post are the same at every university. Parking? State College is terrible for parking.

PSU informed me I got tickets for section 206 row 18 which is upper sideline around the 35 yard line. Tickets have not shipped yet. $67 per ticket. They said tickets are still available but limit it to two per person.
