The conclusion of the NCAA Tournament for Oklahoma State left a bit of a poor taste in the mouths of Oklahoma State fans. In one of the more controversial NCAA finals in some time Daton Fix fell in sudden victory overtime to Nick Suriano after a missed call on a head gear grab by Suriano which resulted in Suriano getting a takedown and winning the NCAA title.

Though he hasn’t announced his plans yet, there’s still a reasonable chance Daton Fix takes an Olympic redshirt this season, so the rematch of the NCAA final isn’t assured to happen even if Rutgers did come to Gallagher-Iba, but with Suriano a senior, this means Gallagher-Iba will never be a chapter of the Fix-Suriano rivalry.

Meh. Much like last year, not much of a dual in any case. One-sided Cowboy win.

I cannot speak for everyone else, but I'd be delighted if Fix and Suriano never wrestle in folkstyle again. Those matches did for NCAA wrestling what 'Gigli' did for cinema.
