Samuel Siafa-Commitment 6'4, 270 DE; Class 2022?

I'm wondering if he is "football oriented"?

Those times, and some additional development, would place him on an International level for track, and the potential to turn pro for that sport.

I see on Twitter he committed to us over Oklahoma State.
Haven't seen anyword on this...

Local kid out of Downingtown West.....

Any Intel?
I’m pretty sure it was between an offer from West Chester, and PWO offers from Penn State and Oklahoma State.

Without looking at the roster projections, doesn't it seem like we're stacking up a lot of DE's?

Right now, with Mostella as a non contributor at DE and likely on his way off the roster (and Franklin has likely know Mostella would not be ready to contribute in 2022 for some time), there are 6 scholarship DE's on the roster. Tarburton, Townley, Isaac, McGraw, Fisher and Vilbert. DDI and Talley will arrive this summer, so that is 8 if Talley plays DE and not LB. With 85 scholarships each position can't have a full 4 deep of scholarship players, but with the rotation necessary at DE PSU's roster will likely have 8+ scholarship DE's. Whereas LB's usually play most of a game, and sometimes don't come off the field. so a 3 deep, or 9, is about the max at LB, and right now there are no where near 9 LB's on the roster. With the staff's recent flurry of offers to portal DE's, including the two from TX that have multiple years of eligibility, maybe that indicates that Talley will start his PSU career at LB.

But for preferred walk on's, the staff likely tries to take different body types and spread these players to different positions (and especially some potential special teams contributors), but the highest priority is likely players that have the potential to contribute and possibly develop into a player that can help the team win by providing depth where needed....
