First encounter with a trans person. Older person whose transition was mostly makeup and nails. Told us an "amusing" story of when they worked for the SF Chronicle telling Herb Caen the columnist that actual meaning if "kind" as in "kind bud". But they did not try to groom me, offer me chemical or surgical castration, nor invite me to drag anything. Went to a Walgreens and there was no riot or anything. Economy seems to be booming!! Chinatown with so many people on street shopping in all the green grocer and fish monger shops was almost impassable. Major building boom around and south from Oracle park, lots and lots shiny glass modern sleek building with techy names on them. New subway system clean and efficient took to and from stadium with ease., Stadium fully sold out (for a concert). The score to date: 1 trans person, 0 human feces (heck min imal dog), 0 needles, 0 burned out abandoned shopping centers, 7 homeless people, 17 driverless cars zooming around, 0 baseball wielding Utes, 0 shop lifting mobs.
