the nosedive/sanctions pretty much kicked in for Joe's last game.. that is the point where the avalanche started rolling... that was November 2011.
I figure we are on equal footing by September 2018--the date when we will have a full roster and a roster with proper scholarship distributions.. ie a semi-equal amount of seniors/juniors/soph/frosh.
That's 7 years just to get back to "PSU mediocre" (13-25 ranking every year). That includes fist-fighting slapdck teams like Rutgers, NW, and Maryland, Ohio U, and Army for wins. It's ironic that Joe was skill position starved, and during this mess we've had some nice skill position play but horrible OL play. OL quite frankly has been a problem for 20+ years now if you include these last 7. We've had maybe 2 great OL's in the past 25 years. When I grew up PSU regularly featured top 10 OL's year in and year out.-sg
