Saquon is the goat

His impact on the game was enormous. It was almost like Spags told his D, I don't care if we give up 40 points, I don't want Saquon getting 100 yards. That whole D was totally focused on Saquon at the expense of pass rush and coverage. Eagles did a great job of taking advantage of taking what the D gave them but at the same time not abandoning the run and keeping KC in this D.
Brady pointed out that if the Eagles had given up the run and spread the field to pass, they would have been giving in to Spags and playing the offense KC wanted them to play. They didn't do this so they forced KC to play the defense KC didn't really want to play.

Spags is a really good coach but this thing backfired. On the other hand, if they hadn't done it, Saquon would have had his 150 yards and probably a couple of long TDs, so it was a pick your poison kind of thing.

My favorite Saquon moments were Hurts' long runs up the middle in the 2nd half. KC was spying Barkley, and on both plays, when he moved toward the sideline, the KC linebacker came along and left the middle wide open for Hurts. On the one Barkley fist-pumped when he saw Hurts get the 1st down -- they had seen this D and planned for it, maybe a halftime adjustment. Hardly even got noticed because the Eagles were up by so much, but it was very good play.

Who the hell is Sequon.

Not yet due to being wasted in NY. He’s going to have to compile some stats here as all timer conversations are always about production over a long career. But, he can stay healthy and productive into his mid 30’s no problem. The question will be how long does he want to play? I don’t see him as one of those guys that hang on for dear life and play for anyone who will take him.

But, he’s already cemented himself as one of the all time big play backs.

He said he wants to play 10 years in the league. So that means he has about 3 more seasons left.

We all love Saquon, and he's obviously one of the top couple RB's in the NFL, but he got on a team where the OL opened up the Red Sea for him on a good many occasions, had a passing game as well, and a QB that was a threat to run as well.

For example Dickerson was the offense in his prime. And there are a good many other great RB's that a sane fan wouldn't and couldn't believe are just as good or better than Barkley.

In the NFL, longevity is also a trait that determines who makes the HOF and who is looked at as among the greatest of all time. I hope Saquon can stay healthy and put up numbers that force him into all conversations of the all time best RB's, conversations that take place long after he has retired........
