....other 2 wins coming @Buttgers and @MSU who are combined 0-12 in b1g and 4-14 overall (both are 0-6 in-conference and 2-7 overall).

This may bite scUM in the @ss imho - they've played 80% of their games in the warm-&-fuzzy confines of the b1g shizhouse with the two road wins against tackling dummies....now scUM has to play two of their last 3 games in very difficult places to play and win - Kinnick next week and The Horseshoe in the last week of the season. scUM better hope they don't get off to a slow start in these legitimately difficult "Road Tests". They have really not been tested this year and been forced to win when not playing their best because they've played so many games at home and the only road games they've played have been against the absolute worst teams in the conference. Again, not having played any difficult Road Games could catch up with them here at the end of the season because this is probably the most difficult 3 game stretch of their season given that 2 of the 3 are on the road in legitimately difficult places to win.

Iowa will be a challenge for sure at their place.

Still say people are just completely ignoring that scUM has yet to play in even a remotely difficult environment on the road and the next couple weeks could be interesting - especially if the MSU game is a prologue to how they will play on the road. scUM did not get off to a particularly good start against MSU and MSU was in the game the entire game and could have easily won had they not failed to score and turned it over on downs after having 1st-&-Goal from the 2 yard line with 8:53 remaining in 3rd Qtr, missed a 34-yard chip-shot FG with 10:43 remaining and then failed on downs from the scUM 13-yard line with 1:46 left......and still only lost by 9 which actually should have been only 6 (30-24 had Dantonio not moronically gone for 2 after scoring with 36 seconds remaining and had it returned the other direction for 2 pts). Iowa is vastly better than MSU (0-6, 2-7) and is a far more dangerous team @Kinnick if scUM plays like they did on the road @MSU.

Frankie I agree with your main point. But Iowa is going to be about as effective as eggs as a cure for abdominal gas. Iowa sucks. I was astounded last night by their lack of athleticism. Their QB has no mobility. Their OL and DL got ragdolled all night, and their receivers could not outrun you and me. Then, consider the unimaginative, ultra-conservative, blase schemes on both sides of the ball. They are going to get housed.

You are right that their schedule is super-favorable for them with all but one of the heavy hitters at home. That could very well hurt them in the unfriendly confines of the Shoe.

But Iowa? Iowa will be an hors d'oeuvre.

Iowa is WAY BETTER especially @home than MSU, who is 0-6 in conference play and 2-7 overall, and scUM could not put MSU away all game. MSU could have easily won the game and outplayed scUM in the 2nd Half (MSU converted only 19 points from 5 trips inside scUM's redzone in the second half including 0 points from the scUM 2 [turned over on downs], 0 points from scUM 13 [turned over on downs] and 0 points from the scUM 17 yard line [missed FG]). Even with all that, MSU outscored scUM 19-5 in 2nd Half and it should have been 20-3 except Dantonio inexplicably went for 2 after scoring with just under a minute to go and scUM returned the failed attempt for 2 the other way (i.e., should have been a final of only 30-24 after scUM went into the locker-room at halftime leading 27-10....).

schedules are made 2-3 years in advance. Last year, Iowa, MSU and OSU all finished in Top 10 and Michigan plays all 3 on the road. A year ago that looked like a super tough schedule but it hasn't panned out that way, so let's be fair. Michigan has also defeated Penn State, Wisco and Colorado - all Top 15 teams. Might also take a look at other top ranked programs like Louisville who has only defeated 1 team with a winning record (by comparison Michigan has defeated 5).

Looking ahead to 2017 and 2018 if you consider PSU's out of conference schedule, you'd have to agree it's woefully weak and could come back to hurt the Nittany Lions - if it does, it won't mean that PSU is not a good team but it could keep them out of a high ranking.

This Michigan team is one of the best Big Ten teams I have seen over the last few years. They will most likely get off to a quick start like they seem to do every game and will quickly make the Iowa crowd a non factor. I really think they'll pound Ohio State and go on to win the national championship.

Ummmmm, not for nothing, but that isn't "what they did" on the road at MSU - their hardest road test to-date, albeit a road game that should be fractionally as difficult as their upcoming game against Iowa @Kinnick given that MSU is 0-6 in b1g play and 2-7 overall. scUM plays the most difficult segment of their schedule over the next three weeks due to the fact that 2 of the 3 games are being played on the road in very difficult places to win - especially as compared to the joke road games scUM has played to date. This is the main point of the OP and remains the point. But in no way did scUM look very good "on the road" in the MSU game and MSU is pathetically awful this year and Iowa will present a light-years bigger challenge @Kinnick.

And PSU played like crap on the road against Pitt and Michigan, then came out and pounded Purdue on the road. Michigan is still a lot better than PSU, and PSU as we have just seen is much better than Iowa. Unless Michigan takes them way too lightly, the game will be over by the first quarter.

There was 1 second left when they went for 2, not 36 seconds like you mentioned earlier. The game was over at that point, so didn't really matter whether they went for 2 or kicked it.

MSU only generated 19 points from 5 trips into the redzone in the 2nd half (including turning it over on downs twice at the doorstep and missing a FG), but still outscored scUM 19-5 in 2nd Half and it absolutely should have been 20-3. scUM was extremely fortunate to win that game and was badly outplayed in 2nd Half. Iowa is light-years better than MSU and this week's game @Kinnick is easily the hardest road game scUM will have played by many factors over....based on their performance @MSU (who is beyond awful) scUM is going to be in for a difficult game this weekend.

PSU was missing half their starters due to injury when we played both scUM and ASWP on the road -- too funny that you think a game played two months ago, on the road, with half our line-up unable to play is so meaningful to a game played last week after PSU has gone 5-0 over the past two months, gotten healthy and playing at full strength......LMFAO!

What's really funny is thinking that you can argue your way to a result in a football game. We'll see what happens on Saturday Nostradamus.

extremely fortunate? UM was up 30-10. MSU scored a TD with 7 minutes left in the game then a meaningless TD with one second remaining. At no time did I feel UM was even close to losing. I get the hatred but come on....

Nowhere did I predict Iowa would win - what I predicted is that it would be at least be their most difficult road game to date. IOW, more difficult than MSU - a game which was MUCH closer than even the final scoreboard and a game scUM could have easily lost if MSU wasn't so absurdly bad and inept (0-6 in b1g and 2-7 overall).....and Iowa, while not awesome, is light-years better than MSU and a difficult team to beat @Kinnick.

UM is a good team and there isn't much doubt about that. STFU, deal with it, and realize next year they come to HV minus 24 or so seniors/Peppers and will be beaten soundly.

In 2008, PSU was undefeated and ranked #3 headed into Kinnick....In 2016 UM is undefeated and ranked #3 headed into Kinnick...

In 2008 Iowa was 5-4 headed into the game vs. PSU....in 2016 Iowa's record is (drum roll please)....5-4.

In 2016 Iowa lost to FCS North Dakota State....In 2008 Iowa lost to FCS University of Pittsburgh.

In 2008 Iowa screwed us over with a BS PI call which eventually lead to the game winning score....8 years later Iowa will repay PSU with a 24-23 Victory over Michigan.

Gee, I don't want to say I called scUM struggling against Iowa @Kinnick a long time ago........but I clearly did as the OP was made the evening of Saturday, Nov 5, after PSU had just pasted Iowa - go figure that the "empty drum" Shizholian loudmouth, fraud PSU fan posers shouted the post down and attempted to tell me how "stupid" I was and how little I knew about "college football" - LMFAO at how ironic this is considering the source of the criticism and how PRESCIENT my prediction was!!! I even noted within the string how beatable scUM looked on the road against MSU (and how easily they could have lost that game but for MSU squandering redzone opportunity after redzone opportunity) AND that Iowa was light-years better than MSU and playing @Kinnick would be a significantly greater challenge than playing @MSU......and that if scUM played similar to how they played @ Spartan Stadium (i.e., "on the road"), they well could lose to both Iowa @Kinnick and daO$U @ The Shoe as scUM was entering the most difficult three-game stretch of the season by many factors over given that two of their last three games were on the road, in very difficult environments, against "quality" opposition (especially on the defensive side of the ball)!

Again, I was told what an idiot I was by the true IDIOTS on this board - the LOUDMOUTH, know-nothing, Shizholian (primarily scUM fans), fraud PSU fan posers (posing as PSU fans for the sole purpose of flaming and trolling a PSU-dedicated Board!), DOUCHE-BAGS @ssholes who, like all times in the past, will now not take ACCOUNTABILITY for their LAUGHABLE, HOPELESSLY BIASED AND WRONG prior posts on this board - go figure! Loudmouth douche-bag, @sshole, Shizholian posing trolls and flamers are gonna do what loudmouth, douche-bag, @sshole, Shizholian posing trolls and flamers do!.......IOW troll and flame with their typically WRONG-HEADED BIAS and HOPELESSLY WRONG "predictions" regarding "scUM", "daO$U" and of course PSU!!!

Good call FRTT. I'm especially glad that you showed some humility and did not gloat or put anyone down on the wrong side of your prescience.

The LOUDMOUTH poser, Shizholian trolls also attempted to "shout me down" when I pointed out that scUM would be a solid underdog @ The Shoe given that daO$U given that daO$U has won the last 7 consecutive @ The Shoe and scUM has not beat them there since 16 football seasons ago in 2000 (not to mention that daO$U is 13-2 against scUM over the 15 seasons since that 2000 loss @ The Shoe! PSU is 11-5 since 2001 against daO$U despite playing them under-manned for 5 seasons given the unjust sanctions and getting ripped off of a win in 2014 by the cheating b1g shizhole!).

daO$U is going to be upwards of a TD favorite against scUM @ The Shoe - just like I said they would be.

Frank, I gotta say. You were 100% right. I emphatically said Iowa would get incinerated after their shizful performance in Beaver Stadium.

Take a bow - you deserve it.
