understand that good recruits in SD are scorned at for not picking SDSU, but look even worse if they choose to go there!!-esp. if they had other offers... even from a team in their own MWC conference-they had 10,900 people at the S Alabama game. I see some kids on the roster that I cut up film on... a few are lucky to be playing D1, and a few had to settle for SDSU after bigger dreams did not materialize. The starting guard Siragusa is my buddy's nephew (the coach I ran sandiegoballers.com with). There are some decent Oceanside kids, but the idiot coaches took 3 other Oceanside kids that had no business playing BCS football.. a total Pitt move LOL.

So far, this might be the worse SDSU team in 15 years.. and that includes teams that lost to FCS teams. SDSU always had great WR's and a solid passing game with good athletes.. it looks as though Rocky Long has coached all of the joy out of the game for the kids.. they tend to hate his guts. Every bit of goodwill that was created under Hoke has dissippated.

One hilarious post.. the team gets one big crowd a year for SKYSHOW.. ie fireworks after the game.. people tailgate thru the game and then start rolling in at the end of the 3rd quarter for the fireworks. One poster mentioned that SKyshow was coming up at work.. the co-workers groaned when the found out that it was connected to the Aztec game as opposed to a seperate event LOL.

My buddy braggs that he has never paid to get into an SDSU game... you could bring a pee-wee NT and they would let you in the recruiting tent LOL. They always have some local re-tread coaches from the Chargers, USD, JC, and HS ranks to fill out spots.. that way the can underpay as the guys live in San Diego already. This used to happen at UCB and Stanford during their darker days as well.-sg
