Season tickets go Digital

So, if I can't use one of my tickets for a match, I can't resell it unless I enter with the person I sell it to? No giving tickets to somebody in advance if I can't make a match? This sucks.

In your ticket account, you’ll just select the ticket, then select the “transfer” option. You’ll enter the persons emai, hit “send”, and you’re done. Very simple to do.

i wonder if the guys who stand out front with tickets are now SOL? I see no print at home option.

I have season tickets for 3 winter sports.. This is absurd. I was reevaluating what I have for the future and this may have me just buying wrestling going forward.

Hopefully the two threads on this subject will be merged. Rutgers did this the last time I bought season tickets from them and it worked out great. Just kept the passes in my car so I couldn't forget them.

As I read it, you will still be able to transfer tickets as before.

You are welcome to manage/transfer your tickets via your account manager if you would like to have someone else use them by simply sending them to their email. You may also print whichever tickets you would like at the box office at any time. Additionally, you may call and set your tickets to be held at will-call for an individual. This process is an attempt to make this more convenient for you. Please let me know if you have additional questions or concerns.

Looks like it will impact ticket sellers on site (be they scalpers or good folk) but not for football (yet).

I didn't see "any time" mentioned in the FAQs with the announcement. What seems clear is only the original ticket owner can do it (can't have your friend or relative).

The FAQ with announcement does state "You can utilize digital ticketing, or you can have your tickets printed on game day."

That seems to mean at the box office or for will call on game day (such as to cover forgot my RFID pass and smartphone unavailable).

In no case does it seem one can print a ticket at home.

Also, the digital ticket can be transferred via email (manually entered) or text (picking a number from one's contacts) in the app.

I've also got screen shots of my tickets in the past and it was no problem getting in the door.

I don't think the scanners at the door really inspect the source of an image on a smart phone.

Nevertheless, ticketing continues to advise guarding your the QR code. RFID secures the QR code. Digital ticketing and minimizing paper tickets also seem aimed, at least in part, at reducing fraudulent tickets.

Also, I understand posting tickets outside Ticketmaster via the App (like on StubHub) could be done after some machinations using the QR code image. It seems as long as digital ticketing is accepted, this will be possible.

I had this for my Tampa Bay lightning season tickets. If you take a screen shot and e mail it to yourself you can print it out of the email. You may be able to just print the screen shot.
