Saban never won a thing until he got to the SEC where he could cheat and have an significant advantage on his competition.
Now.. Sark had 4 of the worse calls we have seen with the ball at first and goal in OSU 1 yard line.. let’s we how Paul F handles the dialogue along with the media after this game ? They killed Franklin., let’s we what happens with Texas..
To be fair--we bashed AK for his playing calling
Texas knew they could overpower them so they ran the pitch play--it was dumb and didn't work--but logical
No SEC may be the best underlying consolation prize after we were eliminated. —They were fortunate to have a team in the final 4. It took a completely blind review of an obvious targeting on a defenseless ASU player.

He wasn’t ever going to win big at Michigan State. They are a very distant second tier program in their own mediocre talent producing state.
They have used Arch all year on critical short drives needing a great run . The pitch.. was an absolutely ridiculous call.. on the 1 yard line ? Ridiculous. I’m out. Not even going to argue. Bet Arch is gone.. would not be surprised if Kirby gets him..

If - a big if right now - OSU goes on to win it all, that will be 2 in a row (Michigan last year) for the B1G and with OSU's win over Texas, the B1G was 5-1 against the SEC this Bowl-Playoff season with another B1G (PSU) in the Final Four. It's eating hard at those Southern hillbillies - their message boards are hilarious

I don’t know about that. Michigan State has been able to attract some of the best players in the country since at least the 1950’s. When it comes to winning with those players it has depended on the coach. Saban wasn’t able to get it done but others; Munn , Daugherty, Pearles. Dantonio had highly ranked teams.
He said Texas should have won. What a crock. Even if they scored there instead of the strip sack OSU is driving down for the winning score.

When Saban arrvied at Michigan they had won 3. 5, 6 and 5 games the previous 4 years plus had an academic scandal
Saban hovered around 500 then won 9 games in his final season--they were trending upward for sure--I don't think they were going to contend for titles but the Big Ten wasn't exactly elite in 2000 and 2001 so maybe if he stays they make a run

Oxy or moron, maybe the second one when he didn't cover the return of the too long FG attemp vs Auburn a couple years back. I happened to be watching that brainstorm of a coaching decision and at that time thought it was a better example of his actual coaching ability rather than all the games he won by lining up a superior roster put together in spite of the rules most other teams followed and racking up wins which most I believe incorrectly used to anoint him a genius.....
