Biden endorsed Kamala because he had no choice. The endorsement wasn't part of his original statement withdrawing. But it was quickly realized that he had to make a statement about continuity. He couldn't endorse anyone else and still show continuity. The endorsement implies the nation is still being run effectively even though he's lost his crackers.
Biden is PISSED and Jill is even more pissed. There have been zero recordings of either one of them. What will they do for a sitting president at the convention? Can they roll him out like Captain Christopher pike?
It isn't over by a long shot. Pelosi and Schumer NEED to beat Trump. They cannot live with Trump in the white house. They don't think she can win but can't publicly say that because they've really got nobody else. But behind the scenes are working to find someone else.
There is a reason why she has been practically invisible for the last six months and that is because nobody likes her. Out-of-touch Biden was more popular than her. That isn't good.
Her saving grace, potentially, is to play games until the convention and then inundate the media and TV while she only releases prerecorded messages. No debates, no live performances. Try to slip her in under the wire without scrutiny.
The arguments of "saving democracy" and "dictator on day one" have been blown up as the Dem aristocracy throws away millions of votes, turns their back on party intent, and simply "selects" a candidate. Not good.
Downstream candidates have to get on board knowing that they look like complete party puppets and even endorsement reaks of lies to the point where it ruins their credibility.
Having said all of that, they'll still get 47% of the votes as people vote party and not a candidate. Trump/Vance will have to focus on the middle 6%.
