My apologies if this was already posted somewhere. Seth is wrestling in the Roadrunner Open today. He pinned his first opponent in 1:16 (Nic Iversen, California Polytechnic State University) and will wrestle the 4th seed (S. Alnassiri, San Francisco State) in the QFs. If he wins, he will likely see 15th ranked Youssif Hemida (Maryland) in the SFs.

Thanks for posting. I'm bummed I couldn't make it down to Bako.

Seth wins 14-6 in the consi round over kid from Cal-St. Bakersfield

Will be wrestling for 3/4 soon.

UPDATE: THIRD PLACE MATCH:

Seth up 4-1 after 1....over 2 minutes RT

Unbelievable crazy day! I got there about 10 minutes after Seth's first match. Then about 30 minutes later, I got a call from my wife and she had an accident at home. So I had to leave right away and drive 90 miles back to Lancaster to help her. (She is OK, thank God) So I never got to see him wrestle.

However I have some friends who were there and they very likely took some photos. I'll post some if I get any.

He's a kid that will not be wrestling in the lineup until 2019-20 going up against a fourth year junior that is a top 20 wrestler. That's not an awful result by any means.

Thanks for posting this...might not have seen it otherwise. Outstanding results for a wrestler 2 years removed from official college action.

Anyone who is disappointed in a high school senior losing to a ranked college heavyweight needs to remind themselves that Gable Steveson is just in his own league. I'm personally impressed with Seth Nevills and think he showed some good stuff.

Clovis will be at the Walsh Ironman this year (Dec. 8-9) along with Cohlton Schultz (Ponderosa, CO) who is expected to wrestle 285 this year (has been 220 the last two years). Seth and Cohlton are both ranked top 5 at 285.

I have seen both of them wrestle live, and I'll definitely go with Seth. For one thing, Seth will probably outweigh Schultz by 20-30 lbs. Schultz is going to have his hands full.
