Since today was the first day of the new semester, I searched the PSU student director and noticed a certain 285lb wrestler was not enrolled. In the spring I remember hearing that Seth was planning to take a gap year similar to AJ and live and train in State College.

Similar to AJ? You mean train at State College and then transfer home before ever wrestling a PSU match? If brother Nick is hurt to the point of not wrestling this year.......(I certainly hope not)….It isn't out of the question. It may also be connected to a certain heavyweight recruit who recently hit the open market.

Yeah, looks like wants to hang on to that redshirt. Smart. Thought I saw him enrolled for the summer. Could be related to Kerkvliet, or perhaps the staff is seeing something special in 285 Cassar (6th year candidate).

Hmmm let the speculation swirl. With a red shirt yet ahead, this doesn't make a lot of sense to me with just a glance.

I really would like to know more about Nick's health to be sure. I love Cassar but the thought of his shoulder standing up to a full year of 265+ lb boys sprawling on top of him after one of his single legs gives me pause if we have zero backup. I thought there was a Seth sighting a few weeks back on campus .... anyone?

There was also some completely speculative chatter that if Nick were done (i.e. retired) and the two bros couldn't spend a year in the room together, Seth might want to stay closer to family. A Stanford scholy for example would give me second thoughts.

What's a summer without some lineup drama?

The Kirk rumors didn't make a lot of sense to me with Seth on the team. I don't see huge separation between them. Kirk might have more upside but he needs another 20 lbs, and I think Seth has the potential to be a little better than Nick which would be just fine by me.

In any case, if something dissapointing is up with Seth, that would be a 'big' loss. Hopefully a 'big' gain starting in K could ease the pain.

That said, I would be happy to have Seth in the fold for the next 4-5, and start to focus on the light/mid weight studs in the 2020 class. I think Cael will hit a home run there.

Makes all the sense in the world if Cassar is at 285. As long as he doesn't enroll 12 credits or more any semester his clock does not start ticking until next year. Then he has a RS as well. Cassar had 2 yrs left assuming he got a medical.

Also gives him an out without using up a RS year in case Kerklivet picks PSU.

I stand corrected. They are all listed.

I have no clue to Seth's status, but I would never rely on the online, public directory as an accurate indicator of enrollment status.

When you are an out of state resident, it really makes sense.

It could also give credibility to the rumor of Cessar moving up. I do believe that Cessar has 2 years remaining.

Oh, trust me, it has been discussed. One of the KYPSW Founders is a real stickler for names.
Makes sense to me. It’d be embarrassing if someone won, but couldn’t spell a dude’s name. Not to pick on you Tabenn, we all slip up on our phones, etc, from time to time. It’s hearing Cenzo’s name butchered all the time that gets me. Say it with me lads, Vin-chen-zo!

Maybe he meant this guy.

We know he’s in State College, so there’s that. If he’s not enrolled, that would indicate a possible grayshirt, which wouldn’t be a bit surprising. There’s another wrestler who’s not enrolled as well, Aaron Brooks. Means the same thing, only he indicated early on that he intended to wait a year. Just because Seth never indicated his plan to us, doesn’t mean he isn’t following Cael’s plan. Maybe we should get Smalls to ask?

With Cassar's potential 6 year eligibility a grey shirt year for big snacks makes some sense, but doing so does not come cheap unless he goes the OTC route. Out of state tuition, housing and food for taking less than 12 units is not a walk in the park. The food bill, good God the food bill that someone like snacks must command.

I still would feel better knowing we have big snacks in the wings ready to pull a red shirt if Cassar's shoulder can't hold up to the pounding. Then again I think we have some NC cushion for injuries etc.. this year. Next year not so much, but I was using up some of that cushion starting Teske over Teas.... Good thing we can all Trust in Cael.

Not Willie. He’s too much like Vais. Cael would get either one stuttering and shaking. I wonder about them sometimes. They both may fold under questioning.

We need someone with thick skin. Someone who doesn’t feel embarrassed. Where is Spyker, anyhow? Or, in a pinch, Jammenz. :)
