From other chatter in the tweeters, seems like he’s done with high school and has moved here to train.
More like the Nick Lee Plan.Huh. Maybe like the guys who enroll early before the second semester in football. Has that happened in college that anyone knows? A hs kid skips his senior year, graduates early, enrolled for the spring semester in college and wrestles for whatever team that same year?
I know it's happened a few times in basketball and more in baseball.
Edit. Maybe the slush fun can get this kid some new jeans. 😂
I'm not entirely sure what Nick Lee did.More like the Nick Lee Plan.

I think many schools in the area are virtual right now. Not sure if it was Willie or Askren, but one of them thought a possibility for this year for some of these high level kids in states where the season has been pushed to the spring would skip the season to concentrate on Junior or Cadet trials. Not sure about Blair's season but Wyoming Seminary just announced that were cancelling the winter season and were going to try and have it in the spring. Since Shayne is in State College, maybe he needs a roommate and can give Bouzakis a call and see if he wants to join along for the spring.Maybe HS classes are remote anyway and he can get better workouts at the NLWC?

Does this apply to NLWC Resident Athlete status, as opposed to other wrestlers who train at NLWC?A nice added benefit of the RTCs is the ability to get high level (qualified) high schoolers in your (unofficial) room that you would not be able to do in your college room. I know USA Wrestling has qualifications (I.e. place in certain National events) that our high level guys would meet.

Asking because HS athletes have trained part-time at NLWC (without living in State College) prior to M2 existing. Thinking specifically of 2 PA champs, both of whom ranked top 2 nationally at their weights, who (to the best of my knowledge) never made a World Team. One of them did win Fargo, don't think the other ever competed there. Both wrestled elsewhere in college.
Or maybe there is a more recent qualification?
Thanks. Not sure when this was implemented, but it isn't much of a barrier for many D1 propsects, let alone the elite guys.Regional Training Centers - Wrestling Recruiting
