For the sake of arguement, lets say that EVERYONE is wrestling this season. What weight projects to be the most entertaining?

I know they are the dancing bears, but give me Steveson/Parris/Kerkvliet and Schultz.

They aren't the dancing bears anymore. Ferrari soon to join the fold also and the guy from Iowa ain't bad either. When I see that a program lands a "plum" 285 recruit these days, I acknowledge that they are a top recruit coming out of hs, but wonder if they will be able to hang with the current crew. I can't remember a time with so many great college heavies wrestling at the same time.

making my own assumptions which could get me in trouble i will go 141
N Lee
Yianni (assuming he stays 141, wont believe he is 149 until he steps on the mat)
Jaydin
Real woods (if he transfers and starts)
Ian Park
Chad red
Don demas
Sebastian
Gfeller
Tariq Wilson
Ridge Lovett
Enchimendia
Silva
Tagg
Leeth
Chlebove

141 is going to be a brawl for all american spots. Obviously a lot of unproven talent but should be exciting to see the studs upcoming. If anything like their high school days look forward to some good wrestling

Cornell recruited a stud from Vorheess NJ.
Lewis Fernandes was dominant and athletic for a heavyweight. Is he wrestling and if so is he a talent that should be on this list.

I don't know if he is on the same level as the guys mentioned above, but I know he didn't really get a 3 second pin in a match that requires both opponent's shoulders to be in contact with the mat for three seconds.

The extra gravity associated with heavyweights causes time dilation. The scorekeeper must’ve used the wrestler’s watch for time. :)

I met a guy about 2 years ago that made me aware of Fernandes his senior year. The guy was from Long Valley and tried to go to all Vorheess and Blair Academy matches. He was who told me about Fernandes and skill set. He knew more about New Jersey wrestling(inside stuff) than I had ever met.
He was a big Rutgers alumnus. He told me 2 years ago he wouldn't be surprised that Seabass would wrestle for Rutgers at some time. He also gave me some insight on the Suriano transfer. I touched base a couple of years ago on this forum but the powers above took down post. I will not go down that road again.

Are you sure? Look it up

THE NFHS Wrestling rules are not accessible but I found an older copy

ART. 1 . . . A fall occurs when any part of both shoulders or both scapula of either wrestler are in contact with the mat for two seconds. The two seconds (one-thousand-one, one-thousand-two) shall be a silent count and shall start only after the referee is in position to observe if a fall is imminent

Ever see a ref get into position that quickly?

Not knocking the refs. Just hard to imagine it without anticipation -- which means he'd have to expect it at the handshake.

My old pal, Vinny Russo, head ref in NJ: “Unless the clock operator is slow starting or shuts it off a little early, four seconds is about as quick as it gets, " said New Jersey's chief ref and state tourney assignor Vinny Russo. "The mechanics for an official is one swipe, start the second swipe, then slap the mat. That’s still two seconds. For it to happen the two kids actually have to charge one another off the whistle and one his starts falling backward." I think Vinny probably said "one starts falling backwards".
