Shrewsberry leaving Notre Dame for Miami?

That list is so fake it deserves no credibility. Says the coach would leave his current team immediately and go coach Miami? That's not how this works. Yeah, okay, the coach of the #3 iowa state team is leaving on Monday to coach the 4-8 hurricanes by Wednesday.
Well then Huggins might be their choice since he is not coaching at this time. Of course he comes with lots of baggage.

The bigger story is how the coach of 14 years said ‘F it, I am outta here!’

He said he made the Final Four then eight of his players portaled out. Said it just ain’t worth it.

This system is not sustainable .

The system isn’t sustainable but the ncaa is doing nothing. Who even is in charge of the ncaa anymore? They’re fiddling while Rome is burning (and I’m sure cashing in a big paycheck at the same time).

That said, while I agree with the Miami coach about the broken system, he loses credibility with this move now.

I have no problem in him making a stand but do it before or after the season- not 5-6 weeks in. He’s literally complaining it’s unfair players abandoned his team while he turns around and abandons his team mid season.

Really not sure what the NCAA can legally do to cap NIL. That would get overturned in the courts within about 20 seconds.

I do agree about the timing of this. He quit on the kids that wanted to play for him....though he was going to be fired regardless. They're beyond horrible.

Iowa state grad here. TJ was an assistant at ISU… he left and came back to the job he wanted. Now #3 and recruiting well and lots of support. Hard to believe he’d leave.

No idea if he’d be interested, but is one of the most talked about successors to Woody on the IU board. If Woody, his sleepy assistants and overpaid band of mercenaries don’t pick it up and get some big wins soon, not even BOT prez, Quinn Buckner, may be able to save him as he did last year.

Woodson is horrible and IU has to be better off with him gone.

But I thought he loved Penn State ……

and this was such a difficult decision …..

and he only left to go home to Indiana ….

and be close to home …

and friends…

and family

….and this was his dream job

….and no one could turn down Notre Dame……🥴
That was just the script for Rudy 2.

What is the NCAA supposed to do? Every regulation they’ve tried to enact gets challenged in court and they lose.
