$500,000 for a document that meant nothing to anybody. AND it took 2 years to come up with. A HALF MILLION DOLLARS. Congrats to the people giving this university money. This is what they come up with. This is what they BRAG about. They think this is good work. They believe that this isn't hilarious to everyone. Redirect your money to THON.

Anyone giving this university any $$$$ now is just crazy IMO. You can't even earmark it for certain things because they are in the habit now of transferring money to whatever area they want and then calling it an internal loan to be paid back later- (so they try to claim your money isn't paying for things like lawsuits, etc when in reality it is).

Just when you think the fools that run this place have reached the depths of absurdity, they find a way to go lower. Barron is a joke as President. The Board is still run by incompetents. I have been saying I am close to turning my back on Penn State forever. This may be the time.

Just when you think they do anything stupider than the last they outdo themselves.

Guys, these are great values. You just need to use them when appropriate.
  • Integrity: We act with integrity and honesty in accordance with the highest academic, professional, and ethical standards. Yes, the BOT meetings are an example of how these need to be adopted by those cowards.
  • Respect: We respect and honor the dignity of each person, embrace civil discourse, and foster a diverse and inclusive community. Just as the BOT has embraced public comments by walking out or hiding in the back room. GREAT!!!
  • Responsibility: We act responsibly, and we are accountable for our decisions, actions, and their consequences.Well, the BOT has reviewed and commented on the Freeh report, it has only cost the university 100 mil. Oh, it isn't worth reviewing.
  • Discovery: We seek and create new knowledge and understanding, and foster creativity and innovation, for the benefit of our communities, society, and the environment. How's that cultural problem you adopted affecting the PSU community and alumns?
  • Excellence: We strive for excellence in all our endeavors as individuals, an institution, and a leader in higher education. Back to the BOT, it shows your desire for excellence each time you shrink in the response to the PSU community
  • Community: We work together for the betterment of our University, the communities we serve, and the world. Well, you threw all of the alumni and the entire PSU community under the bus, I guess that gives you lots of room to work for betterment of those you impacted.
These values need to be thrown right back in their face every time they show disregard for any others opinions at the BOT meetings and especially at open comments where they shrink and hide in another room. Truly sad how our leadership has turned out.

I would suggest the following for the next university brag letter:
"Blah, blah, blah...".
I will waive the fee to use my words.

Yea, clearly Fraudney had these principles in mind when he signed away literally hundreds of millions, if not billions, of the University's and its constituents reputation, goodwill and outright resources when he signed the NCAA's illegal (under charitable Fuduciary law), illegitimate "consent decree"? Hard to claim he had The University's, and its constituents, best interest at heart while doing so much unnecessary damage to The University as a clear co-conspirator of the immoral "false narrative".

You could make a bot and Barron bingo card for every time they violate the values at a meeting.

This is definitely the time to act so do yourself a big favor and do it today instead of poll parroting the same complaints every other post. Trust me, you'll feel much better and be able to move forward in harmony with your life.

Where did you get the $500,000 figure

Penn State has spent $811,719 to date on the “Penn State Lives Here” marketing campaign, UPUA President Katelyn Mullen confirmed today. The Values and Culture survey, sent to all Penn State students and faculty, is anticipated to cost $418,000 Mullen also confirmed. The twocontroversial initiatives come in at a total of $1,229,719 — or roughly the equivalent of tuition for 141 Pennsylvania students for a semester.

The next time Eric the Red goes to Harrisburg with his hat in hand looking for more cash, he should be thrown out. What a scene that would be - the ratbags from Penn State vs the ratbags in the Legislature. Only one winner in that showdown . . . . .
