SIAP- Deion Barnes comments on everyone who mentions him as someone who made a mistake

Been watching PSU football for 40 years....somehow, someway, and I don't know why or how, but Penn State always manages to replace the players that leave....I know the odds are against it, but I would say that if Shareef Miller decides to leave, Penn State will somehow survive.

as i recall i think he just skipped a 5th year and left with a degree. that is not the same as the 3 year leave early guys who do not have a degree.

Without knowing the particulars of each kid's life, we have no idea whether it was or it wasn't the right decision for either Barnes or Miller.

Well we do know the particulars of Barnes’. His dad has like 2 million in debt.

I think if Barnes says it was the right decision for him, people should accept it and quit second guessing him. LOL This board would second guess someone who says the sun rises in the East and sets in the west.

This board wants kids to stay, and be on the team, but wants the incoming highly touted freshman recruit, who has not played a down of college football, to take his place in the lineup.

No matter how much anyone knows about each kid's life, we have no idea whether it was or it wasn't the "right decision" for any player. Judging others based upon our own standards and priorities is stupid, period. In a free country, which the USA still is, each individual is able to make decisions based solely upon their own standards and priorities. Which is what Barnes has stated. Nice of him to remind those that some how don't understand that.

You nailed it. We even have somebody in this thread who thinks he know better than Barnes himself if it was the right decision. All so some likely 50+ year old guy can watch him play football for free for 1 more year.

For many, I believe that playing in college is viewed, at least, in part as is minor league baseball and junior hockey, as well as college basketball. I don’t like that, but that is what seems to be the case for many. The money, for those without it, is a path to at least some economic freedom.
If they dont make it out of the minors and that is their dream, that’s sad. If their plan for themselves is otherwise, that is their choice, and I hope all get to have our plans fulfilled.

All of your opinions are worthless because our resident genius 2020 has yet to comment on this thread.

Yes and our Staff plans for everyone to graduate in three years and move on. It's in the plan.
