Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh once again caused some ripples by hiring Michael Johnson, a former NFL coach served as Harbaugh's quarterbacks coach with the San Diego Chargers in 2000, to his staff. Johnson also happens to be the father of No. 1-ranked dual threat quarterback in the Class of 2019, Michael Johnson Jr. There are some dots that people can connect, if they feel like it.

No rules against it. Harbaugh is in it to win, but he still will never beat both us and urban in same year. My prediction.

The fact that he needs to keep hiring parents and coaches related to recruits proves to everyone that he has no faith in himself to be able to get it done on his own. It is a striking admission of insecurity which will ultimately be his undoing.

He's not hiring a coach from a high school JV team hoping that it will help him get a recruit. He's hiring a former NFL coach that he's worked with in the past. It doesn't "prove" anything. Looking at his resume, it's pretty impressive.

Just a coincidence, I am sure. He has worked with any many former NFL coach's. This one just happens to have a desirable son.

So if we had an opening and Franklin had hired Johnson, you'd have an issue with it? Even when looking at his resume?

Funny how it never happens, but Harbaugh has done this sort of hire a few times now. But it is just a coincidence. I am sure you are right. This stud recruit ' s dad just also happens to be the best man for the job.

NFL Offensive Coordinator, College Offensive Coordinator, interim coach at UCLA after Neuheisel got fired. Don't think the guy should be blacklisted taking a job at an NCAA school because his son is a good recruit. This isn't a situation where they're hiring a recruit's mom to a 200k admin assistant position. They're hiring a well qualified coach. Franklin hires him and our fans would love it. But since we live in glass houses, we need to criticize the move when Michigan does it.

I always thought that Jada Smith was the best actor that could ever do the remake of Karate Kid, that Wolfgang Van Halen was the most qualified bass player for Van Halen, that Jason Bonham was clearly the most qualified drummer in the world to play for Led Zeppelin for the OZ show in London.

The fact that these people have famous parents is not material to these choices. No one can be the Karate Kid again, now that Jada Smith has owned that character.

Who's take guns. Sorry i was referring to the violations thread. Uncle lar didn't like the way i asked then answered my own question

I mean he's not capable of giving you the business: He doesn't make arguments. He corrects people on minute details, and bullies people around. He did it for 10 years on his friend Tim Beidel's basketball board when DeChellis was compiling the worst won loss percentage in PSU history, and he berated anyone who dare question his hiring.

Thanks for the info.
