SIAP: MHKY vs Wisconsin Game 1

PSU hockey ended the winter break last night, hosting Wisconsin (the only B1G team that they hadn't yet played this season). PSU won 5-1. Wisconsin scored late to make it 4-1... good outing by the Lions! One of Wisconsin's top scorers was out playing in the Junior's world semifinal (?), so I expect PSU might see him when they travel to Madison in a couple of weeks. Game 2 is tonight and is on BTN.

PSU at 13 in the Pairwise. Elsewhere in the conference, OSU throttled MSU 4-1 and ND squeaked by Michigan 2-1 to remain undefeated in conference play. Barring a complete collapse, they will be the B1G regular season champs.

Big two weeks of games for PSU with Wisky this week and OSU next week at Pegula. I think going into last night there were only 4 pts separating 2nd place from 6th in the conference

With the new playoff format, home ice is going to be HUGE for those best of 3 playoff series.

Would be huge to have an opening round playoff in Pegula. Sign me up! Was hoping to make it up for OSU next Saturday (critical series - they are 5 in the Pairwise and we went 1-0-1-1 against them in Columbus earlier in the season), but a recent conflict will see me wait until the ND series before I can make the trek back to Hockey Valley. Go State!
