Significance of the scale for Saturday night.....

Steve Jones just noted on his show that the scale being used to weigh in the finalists for Saturday night will be stepping on the same scale used by Ali vs Fraser for super fight 1. Which was also held at the Garden.

Byers said that NYC and surrounding area has a lot of PSU alumni and thinks the MSG will have significant representation

on Nolf vs Imar 3 ....Imar adjusted for B1$ but nolf will do best to stay out of under tie ups that slowed him down....pace to be set by Nolf, his top game needs to be better to wear on Imar cause Imar will have full day to recover from weigh in and JB believes imar needs that....

6 big finalists coming out of big and JB says 5 at NCAAs not unrealistic but that Jimmy has looked great the past 2 weeks

Morgan looks as great as he ever has, that this is the Morgan they knew he could be and that is peaking and knows his strengths. Says people cant hold him down and his top game is best its been and is a bonus machine 9 of 23 career pins are this year.

JB thinks the opening round will set the tone much like they have in the past 4 champ seasons. Bonus in this round could be deciding factor. Talking Jimmy can beat manley and that his bracket looks good after that even if he loses and drops down after qtrs.

said morelli might surprise people with staudenmeyer and if that happens sets the stage for a very successful weekend.

team got in last night 8:15 w garden open till 9. kids went over to take it in. they went over this morning to work out and heading back after 3pm for another walk through work out.

JB says the garden is pulling out the stops to make this as memorable as possible for teams and participants ie the scale mentioned previously

said Cael is downplaying the significance of the garden but the kids are going nuts about the place and being in NYC

JB says he is predicting 5 finalists, conway battling to be in top 5, Cutch podium, JG in top 8, Morelli outside shot but needs to wrestle best of his career

That is about the best case scenario. I would love that. Never considered Jimmy's first match as that significant but it's a great point....I fully expect 5 guys in the semis at a minimum.

There's a large theater directly below MSG called the Paramount (used to be called the Felt Forum). I've seen photos on Twitter today of warmups taking place in there. They may have set up mats elsewhere inside the Garden too, but I'm not sure where.

Lol. No i was there. I watched Morgan's whole demeanor out at Okla City and he was not mentally ready to wrestle Hartman and got beat..I believe he was looking ahead to cox. Yes not last year. This out out in Okla 2 years ago.

Ali was probably the fastest heavy weight ever. Lightening jabs and incredibly quick feet. But his ability to take a punch was top tier too. How he managed to stay on his feet in that last round is amazing.
