Silly Season begins...Rosselli out at Oklahoma

I know a couple of teams that would love to get Buchanan if he entered the portal.

I have a pair of thoughts here.

1) What does it mean for Teyon Ware, and will Stephen Buchanan go back on the market

2) Does Rosselli end up back in Columbus. If so, that’s a massive win for them and should be mildly concerning for PSU fans.

At the very least I hope he comes back to Columbus to take over the RTC. It has turned into a ghost town and a guy like Rosselli is just what it needs to get it back to where it needs to be.

Mark Cody and Rosselli both seemed like great hires, kind of blows my mind how they both failed so spectacularly at a place with such a great wrestling history.

I’m genuinely curious where he’ll end up. He’s a talented coach leaving a big program. That doesn’t happen for no reason, so I’d imagine we’ll find out his destination soon

2 years ago, OU won its first B12 title since 2002. Last year they sent 9 to nationals. So I'm not so sure he failed spectacularly.

Cody got pushed because he couldn't beat OKST. Rosselli did, apparently not often enough, though he did improve the program. But he got lapped by Dresser, and with Missouri back, OU looks capped at B12 3rd place. Which isn't gonna sit well at that school.

I'll fully admit that "failed spectacularly" was a poor choice of words, but in terms of All-Americans and NCAA placement they've done nothing but disappoint since Spates has left. Rosselli was a big hire with a lot of fanfare, it did not go well. Ditto with Cody, I'm curious if they can get back to where they were in the Ware/Haze/Lightner/Tucker era when I first started following college wrestling.

It makes you wonder if OU will commit to wrestling when the join the SEC. Mizzou is the only SEC with a wrestling program.
