Now that oversigning and processing are catching on in places like UM and OSU...Alabama has decided to step it up a notch. Yet again. They have petitioned the NCAA to be a pilot program (for 10 years) whereby any employee at Bama with free family tuition benefits can adopt a football prospect and that prospect be entitled to a 4 year waiver of tuition. NCAA president Mark Emmert with the full support of the BOD of ESPN have already thrown their full support behind the pilot program.
When interviewed last week Emmert said he sees funding for the innovative field leveling program coming from generous contributions from the Penn State Board of Trustees. Expressing his most sincere gratitude to the PSU BOT generosity for anything under the sun Emmert said, "They are always there to lend a handout to a any cause when I or Jim Delaney need them."
In summary, with the guiding hand of the NCAA leadership, rest assured America, the future is bright for Bama football to stay competitive for the next decade.
