Where does Smith get his coaching rep?
OSU was out of shape and and flopping like fish.

If OkSU was that out of shape, Iowa wasn't much better then because the score should been larger than it was. Other than Gilman, Clark, Sorenson, and Burek, Iowa may struggle more than initially thought. Cooper at 57 is a stiff. How did Matsteller win that? OkSU wasn't impressive, either. Hopefully PSU impresses tomorrow after the scrimmage last night.

Haha...good stuff.

Not sure Id take it that far, but both teams have enough holes to make Psu the NCAA favorite without question this year as it stands. It's a long, long season though with many things to surprise us yet

from the look of it CM is not the only one who is sucking a lot of weight.

I don't know!! You are right he is the worst! Can't believe that scrub has a job!

Yeah, he's doing a fine job coaching up Collica and Rogers..
Or were those just bad hangovers from cheap Oklahoma beer?
Dudes were in rare form.
Total disgrace.

I thought Brooks and Meyer looked ok also..Meyer just has to not start his matches so cold in first period He always keeps coming he could have still won today. But then I'm a HAWK fan.;)

Brooks looked pretty impressive at 184. And, as someone else noted, I wouldn't bury Meyer at 174 just yet. I agree they have some question marks at 141, 157, 165, and 285.

Got a good chuckle at this op, after all didn't Tognetti call the entire board out as mentally soft and physically fat in the blind recently?

I don't remember making that statement, (soft was the word) but it does sound like something I would say, so I'll take credit for it. We sure did look sloppy and out of shape out there yesterday. I was even holding my head down incase somebody recognize me and I was watching it at home! I walked out side, kicked my dog, got on one of my horses and roped some calves, felt pretty good. Got a call from another OSU fan, walked out side, kicked my dog, got on another horse and roped some calves, turned my phone off and felt pretty good until I woke up this morning. I might add some whiskey today to numb the pain, my dog runs from me now so I can't kick him. I have owned a few health clubs when I was younger so maybe I can help, you know me, if they start wrestling better I'll take credit for it.

Mr. T this made me laugh. Give me a call sometime, long time since we chatted.

Mike - I have a serious question. No trash talk intended here. What do you think is going on with Rogers? I lived up in WA for several years and saw him wrestle in HS where he was virtually unbeatable. The only match that went the distance his senior year was when he was on the US All Star team vs Iowa where he still scored a major decision. I really expected him to carry his success forward in college, but he hasn't performed anywhere near to what everyone expected. What is your opinion here?

I'll try to answer that question, talked to a lot of people on that matter including coaches, D1 is a whole different level than high school, some kids excel and some don't. Best way of putting it he is just a little less of everything (in between weight, strength, mind set, quickness. Great kid, thought he rounded the corner this season and still hoping he does but Brock destroyed him at Iowa. Nolan Boyd 184 should stay up at 197, he looked good against a high ranking guy in Iowa and has the height for that weight. If that happens it will be Luke Bean or Rogers. His younger brother Chandler has it, but Crutchmer owns 174. Chandler looks to me a 165, so even if Chance moves up he will be in a battle at165.

From afar he appears to lack intensity on the mat. I guess I'm wondering if his heart is 100% in it. At the D1 level you have to be completely committed or you will get eaten up by those that are.
