just finished Sneaky Pete on Amazon Prime. I really, really like that show and recommend it highly.
  • I've always been a Giovanni Ribisi fan and he doesn't disappoint. He plays a con man who gets wrapped up with a family that is struggling to keep it together.
  • The bad guy is Bryan Cranston...who is great, as well. Cranston is also executive producer.
  • Cranston brings a lot of Breaking Bad/Better Call Saul feel to the show.
  • Peter Gerety (grandpa) and Margo Matindale Audry also turn in great performances.
  • Pretty complex plot with lots of twists and turns.
The first three episodes are good and interesting...but the show really takes off around episode six. Amazon is pushing out some good stuff.

I finished the first season last week. Good show. It'll be interesting to see what they do in season 2. Apparently Cranston wants to make it another Breaking Bad type show as far as success and story.

I just finished Breaking Bad last night (binge watched the entire series over the past month), and WOW!!! SO F-IN' GREAT!!

If this show is in the same vein as BB, then I'll start it next.

I just finished Sneaky Pete, and really really liked the show, worth the price of admission for sure!! I'll be starting season 2 soon.

I was thinking this was going to be about a pool cue.

"Sneaky Pete cues are the cue of choice among billiard players. They have an interesting story behind their name, which refers to the actual design of the cue, by the way. A Sneaky Pete is designed to look like a poorer quality, traditional house cue instead of a custom cue. The idea behind this was that people would underestimate the capabilities of their opponent and be susceptible to being hustled. Not many people use them for that purpose these days, but instead it is their traditional style and simplistic beauty that has enabled them to remain one of the most popular and best selling pool cue styles on the market today."

The Aussie series RAKE is the most enjoyable show I’ve watched in many years. Cleave Greene, the protagonist and a barrister, is my favorite lead since Jim Rockford. I know, that’s a long time.

Has anyone else seen RAKE?
