Did Snyder consider Penn State when he was being recruited? I thought I had read some comments or tweets from him implying that he didn't like Penn State. I'm just curious what transpired there, especially since he was in our backyard.

I could be full of baloney and memory a bit off, but we had McIntosh and there would have been a need to redshirt.
Also, with immediate international aspirations Jake Varner was already in the room training and I guess there may have been some concerns, from the Snyder camp, about that.
With that being said, Snyder has traveled more than just a few times to State College to workout with Cael and Jake.

Yes. We were aming his 6 finalists. 2 others were Army (brother wrestled there) and Oklahoma (knew Cody from American). I think the others were Maryland and maybe George Mason? Schools close to home.
He occasionally trains at NLWC, so he doesn't hate PSU. It was just rivalry stuff.
He said before this year's dual that he is actually friends with a lot of the guys on the PSU team.
