So with Kyle Snyder nowhere to be found and tOSU losing the meaningless dual championship bowl series or whatever it is called. Should PSU adopt the Snyder strategy.

Surely PSU could find some Russians or Iranians with NCAA eligibility and give them a scholarship, have them take online classes, fly them over to wrestle a few duals and show up for the NCAA tournament.

Oklahoma State had a Russian starter recently -- Gelogaev. Took him a while to not be a total liability on bottom. As a full-time US resident.

Snyder was not "nowhere to be found"

He was with the US Team along with Burroughs, David Taylor, Logan Stieber, Frank the Tank and the others after their 2nd place silver finish in Iran.

Snyder went 3-1 in the round robin tourney.

And USA almost upset the Iranians for first.

Ohio St should feel lucky that Snyder pops in from time to time to lend a hand.

Not the other way around.

Let me put this another way. Snyder is for all practical purposes a "professional athlete".

How would you like it if some college baseball team had a bunch of major league players on their roster that didn't play the whole season and just showed up for the post season.

Sanderson doesn't have a problem with it, why should I. I'm in the camp who think Kyle should be celebrated. I am sure there are folks think it is terrible the Lee brothers are skipping their senior year of high school.

Only 57 more weeks of this debate before Snyder graduates. Goody.

Not sure I understand. Kyle Snyder meets all of the Amateurism and Athletics Eligibility Rules. What's the beef?

Man....I don't get it at all. We have 3 girls soccer players on the National Team that left this season. They will be back. I think it's great for them. Hard on the team quite obviously but great for them.

What Snyder is doing is remarkable. You know what the consensus was in the Cornell Arena today? Most would have given up the Cornell win for a chance to see the Olympic Gold Medalist wrestle. People WERE there to see him.

I'm all for it. USA USA!

I bet I know one guy who would like to see Snyder in the room more often:

Kollin Moore.

The limited amount of time that Snyder HAS spent with him, has made Moore significantly better.

The way our program is going, we will have this exact same issue at some point in the coming years so don't be too hard on Snyder! I can envision someone like Mark Hall being in this situation before he graduates.

So will iowa with Spencer. tO$U has run the traps for whats about to happen. If we want great national teams we need to embrace this not hurt it.
