Suddenly Trump is in a tight spot. If he wanted it out there he would have already released it. Now he might be forced to do it before Garland does to try to control the narrative.

@bdgan already posted this.

The ball is in the Trump court now. The only reason it won't be made public is because Trump wants it secret. It will show what crime(s) he is being investigated for and other details. No taking the 5th this time Grifter.

What Garland did today changed nothing at all.

And the fact that he took no questions should show you what a hack he is.

The man approved a raid on the home of a former POTUS. And he isn't taking questions.

Why should he? Just because you say so. Why should he tell what he has until he is required to. If he did you would say he is trying the case in the public eye and it isn't fair to Trump. Your argument is lame and predictable.

Guilty or not you all seem to be missing the salient points. This didn’t need to be done this way. That was political. And not to beat a dead horse, but why wasn’t the same standard applied to others?
You are right. Trump could have fully complied with the subpoenas. It was political for Trump to announce it. He is fundraising off of this. Those are the salient points.

Why should he? Are you joking?

He works for us. That's why.

He isn't some guy who works for Taco Bell keeping his sales numbers secret.

Ridiculous.

Trump hasn’t been President for 18 months and he still hadn’t returned the classified documents. He was storing them in a golf resort.

Trump doesn’t respect the rule of law. It had to be done this way.

It didn't have to done be this way. Trump could have fully complied to the subpoenas. He chose not to comply so he could pump up the base and get the fools to send him money$$$$$

You're ridiculous. You make blanket statements regarding subpoenas you have no facts of. Trump has been cooperating for months. They were just there in June. Furthermore, several presidents have kept documents. It isn't uncommon whatsoever. You're just a political hack. This was an absolutely ridiculous raid for no reason.

Cooperating for months? How long do you think it takes to return boxes of paper or computer records? If he was cooperating the stuff would have been returned a year ago.

You also know nothing of warrants. Several have stated they did not present the warrant. His own attorney said this. Furthermore, they only have to present the first page which simply has the judges signature.

Not so. Obama kept records far longer. Many presidents have. Former presidents review documents for libraries. This happens all the time. Even CNN doesn't buy your political nonsense. There's a reason this has never been done before. It's total nonsense.

So your position is 18 months wasn’t enough time for Trump and his people to look through 15 boxes?

LOL. There's one stupid man's view of things.
Do you really understand what’s happening here? What do you suggest he do? Let everything be released… which may show very highly sensitive material illegally in his possession… Or does he decide to not allow it to be unsealed. Tonight is going to be a difficult night for him to sleep. Masterfully played by Garland. He’s called Trump’s bluff. He knows what he has gotten from Mara-a-Lago.

You really have no clue what you're speaking of, nor what was actually obtained. You have nothing but your Twitter nonsense you believe is reality. This is the dumbest thing any AG has ever done. You made a ridiculous statement regarding the warrant, as if it was handed to Trump with details. That's not how it works. Trump can release it, you said. Release what? The first page, because that's all they get. Twitter is not your friend. His own lawyer couldn't see the warrant. Get a clue.

I expect Garland to answer questions.

It's part of his job as a public official.

Garland had the FBI raid a former Potus' home.

Why would I? Unlike you, I don't live my life according to Twitter nonsense. You don't know why, either. Presidents take a lot of time to determine what they may want to keep for libraries, what foreign gifts they may want to purchase, and what domestic gifts they want to keep. You have zero knowledge of the situation. Stop acting like you know what's going on. You do not. A warrant for archives is absolute nonsense. And let's be honest, you and everyone else thought this was about January 6.

These people are so naive to what is actually going on the only explanation is long TDS.

Our government just sicced the FBI on the former president.

At the same time the state of NY obtained his taxes and has not even filed charges 2 years later but is still 'investigating'.

They impeached Trump 2x because they don't like him.

It is literally what happens in Russia when oligarchs speak out about Putin.

And here they are applauding it and praising Garland. The guy has the full power of the US government behind him and is attacking a man in his own home.

I think it was brilliant. Trump is potentially damned if he allows unsealing… I’ve got to believe Garland knows what was recovered…versus keeping everything sealed. Anyone with half a brain would have to ask why? If he has nothing to hide then let the info be unsealed. Like I said, Trump can’t be happy with either outcome. Best of all… he did this to himself. All of this would never have been revealed had Trump not publicly complained.

Wrong… he did this himself. All he had to do is comply with the subpoenas. If you have paid attention, this has been in the works since the spring. After sending the original 15 boxes… Trump basically ignored sending the rest which reportedly contained some highly sensitive material. He only has himself to blame for this one.
What do you think he is going to do… unseal or seal?

We already know Trump has been subpoenaed what... 25 times?

So no, he didn't do this to himself. It is our government harassing and intimidating him.

You are naive to what is actually happening.

That is such bull. Are you seriously trying to compare baubles and trinkets to top secret/classified documents?? It is one thing to disagree politically about the motivation behind the search warrant, it is another to be intellectually dishonest. I shouldn't be surprised by your lack of intellect or honesty.

You know this is top secret? Where did you get that information from? Did you say the same regarding Hillary? It was on an unsecured server that she lied about. Lmao. Don't be NJ, who said Trump could release the warrant information. Meanwhile, the Attorney General is seeking a judge to actually release the information. You guys are precious.

Yet It was ok for other (democratic) to delay and fight for years. How many of them have had their homes raided? why the double standard?

The Lyndon B. Johnson Library had delayed in releasing the final batch of his secret tapes until 2016. This came 47 years after he left office.

Problem is that you haven’t taken the time or effort to figure out how it works. Go do some research and find why it has to be done this way. Garland already got a judge to agree as long as Trump agrees. It’s now in Trumps hands.

Politico reported in 2014 that Obama administration lawyers had repeatedly invoked the Presidential Records Act to "delay the release of thousands of pages of records from President Bill Clinton’s White House."

I know that it is more than trinkets. If it is not then it will be a big D mistake and they will pay for it at the ballot box.

Don't play the deflection game about Hillary. If you wanna play that game then I guess you want Ivanka to be punished for using an unsecure server for official white house emails. Ivanka should have known better after the fire storm her daddy and the R's made about Hillary. Ooops

Why couldn't Trump release the the warrant info himself? And why is he now considering not letting it be released to the public amid the R's who are clamouring for transparency? Why? because he only does what is good for Donald and releasing it is bad for him, just like releasing his tax returns. I'd rather be precious than a brainwashed cultist.
