I hate to say this, but the B1G svcks. Happy Penn State is doing well, but the depth of the B1G isn't there.

I don't think the B1G will do well in the Bowls. We have two legit heavyweights; two solid spoilers; and 10 lower tier football teams.

Dude, have you looked at the rest of CFB? Big 12 is bad. PAC 12 is off. ACC??? Even the SEC is down by recent standards. Parity is already in the "not for long" league. Now it's in CFB outside of Tuscaloosa and Columbus.

I would say Michigan then either Ohio State or Penn State. Wisconsin right there too followed by Nebraska and Minnesota.

I actually think that the upper half of the BIG compares favorably to other conferences. SEC east is weak.

I agree with some of your rankings but I would probably move Minnesota and Northwestern into the middle tier and Michigan State into the lower tier. I actually think our win over Minnesota is turning out to be a quality win. They have a decent chance to get to 9 wins. Michigan State is really putrid. They are battling Rutgers for the bottom of the BIG East and have already been eliminated from bowl contention.

I was watching a discussion on TV this morning where they all agreed that SEC E was the worst Power 5 division in the country. B1G is fine.

B1G.................SEC..................PAC................B12...............ACC

1 - Michigan.......Alabama.......Washington.......Oklahoma.......Clemson
2 - Ohio State.....TAMU..........Colorado(?)......OkState........LVille
3 - Penn State....Florida..........Utah(?)....... WVU..........FSU
4 - Wisconsin.....Auburn.........WashSt..........TCU......... VaTech
5 - Minnesota......LSU............Stanford..........Baylor..........NCarolina
6 - Nebraska.......Arkansas.....USC...............KState.........Miami
7 - Iowa............Tennessee......Cal(?)..............Texas.........NCState

Hard to say any conference "sucks", without first looking at the competition from the other P5.

I'd probably have the B1G to win the majority of those matchups against the ACC, the B12, and the PAC.......say 4-3 vs ACC, 5-2 or 6-1 against the PAC and the B12.
Against the SEC, I'd see a bunch of "coin-flip" match ups - - - probably a slight favorite to the SEC thanks to the Sparty implosion this year.

Too funny, here are the "actual standings" and conference records:

1. scUM (6-0)
2t. PSU (5-1 with head-to-head tie-breaker over daO$U)
2t. daO$U (5-1)
4t. Minny (4-2)
4t. Wisconsin (4-2 with head-to-head tie-breaker over UNL)
4t. UNL

Then there are three teams tied at 3-3, 2 teams tied at 2-4, a 1-5 team and 2 teams tied at 0-6 in conference play, but who cares about any of these teams???

7) Minnesota

9) Indiana
10) Maryland
11) Illinois

13) Sparty
14) Rutgers

I'd have Purdue over Illinois (road win in Champaign, have been a bit more feisty of an opponent). But otherwise I agree completely with this.

Auburn is 5-1 in the SEC and alone in 2nd and both aTm and Florida are 4-2. LSU only has 3 wins at 3-2.

I know how many wins and losses they each have :)

I was (subjectively) slotting them by what I see as the quality of each team.......and yes, in particular, I think Auburn is INCREDIBLY overhyped.......but if one wants to "flip-flop" Auburn w Florida or TAMU, it really doesn't impact the "relative suckiness of conference debate"...does it?

Yeah, some of those calls are really close. Purdue has occasionally looked okay some weeks and seem relieved that Hazell was made to walk the plank . I thought Illinois deserved some credit for beating Michigan State. Conference wins are precious things down within the bottom third.

How typically Shizholean of you, a Wisconsin team that is 4-2 (4th best record in b1g shizhole) and 0-2 versus the teams above them (i.e., daO$U and scUM) is ranked higher than PSU who is 5-1 (2nd best record in b1g shizhole) and 1-1 against daO$U and scUM. Let me guess though, you're "perfectly unbiased" as it concerns your opinions involving PSU and the "traditional b1g shizhole" schools? LMFAO at you sorry@ss, self-declared "perfectly unbiased" Shizholean douche-bags.

What are you smoking? The B1G East is probably the best division in college football- a little better than the SEC West, and much better than any other division.

Hey, feel free to disagree without going off on one of your patented lunatic rants.

The AP, the coaches poll and the Committee all agree with me, but it is in the end just an opinion.

how do you put osu over psu? psu is in second place in the big ten east toughest division in cfb. why are you putting the 3rd place team over the second place team. stop giving osu the benefit of the doubt. they may have a clearer path to tje playoffs but we beat them fair and square.

here is my list:
michigan
penn state
ohio state
wisconsin
nebraska
minny
northwestern
indiana
maryland
purdue
msu
rutgers

My thoughts
1 UM
2 OSU
2 PSU
4 WISCONSIN
5 UNL

I truly believe that if we play liken we did against Iowa we would destroy Wisconsin. i just can't honestly say they are better than us. heck after Saturday, I would put money on us beating a bunch of teams ranked ahead of us in the national polls ( wvu, auburn, Oklahoma, and Wisconsin ) and honestly I would put money on us hanging with the others. may not be able to get by Michigan or Bama, but the rest of them we would be right there at the end

While I think that Penn State would beat Wisconsin, I can understand others ranking Bucky ahead of the Lions based on mostly playing Michigan stronger than PSU. Granted, Penn State beat OSU at home and Wisconsin lost to them in OT (also at home) but, by games so far, I can see that they are close. All that being said, I think the Lions are playing better than the Badgers now and would beat them head-to-head.

And a lot of other good teams as well

PSU played lights out on Saturday
The only question I would have is whether or not that performance (or something close to it) can now become the "norm" going forward

I don't expect to see PSU play that well again this season - just because it was a near flawless performance (even the four personal fouls - at least 2 of them, and arguably all 4 - were very "iffy")
But if they can play like that every week - - - look out

Classic! What typical b1g Shizholean apologist gibberish and nonsense. PSU and Wisconsin have played THREE COMMON OPPONENTS TO DATE - Iowa, daO$U and scUM. PSU is 2-1 against these THREE COMMON OPPONENTS while Wisconsin is 1-2 against them. In addition, Wisconsin barely squeaked by Iowa in their one win against the THREE COMMON OPPONENTS while PSU took Iowa to the woodshed and the game was never in doubt after PSU's opening drive from the kickoff (PSU beat Iowa 41-14, while Wisconsin beat Iowa 17-9 . PSU beat daO$U while Wisconsin lost to daO$U, so clearly PSU also played that common opponent far better than Wisconsin. And both teams lost to scUM (PSU played scUM with double digit players missing from their two-deep and something like 7 starters missing - then the b1g shizhole officials illegitimately ejected our 3rd String MLB on last play of 1st QTR forcing us to insert our 4th String MLB who tore knee ligaments a few plays later...).

So essentially, PSU clearly outplayed Wisconsin against the THREE COMMON OPPONENTS on their schedule to date - not even close - AND PSU has a 2-1 record against the 3, while Wisconsin has a 1-2 record against the 3, but Wisconsin should be ranked higher than PSU because they looked good losing to scUM???? Gee, why doesn't PSU's BETTER OVERALL RECORD AGAINST THE THREE and looking FAR BETTER against Iowa count for anything LMFAO! (Wisconsin's only win against the THREE COMMON OPPONENTS was in a boring, low-scoring squeaker that went all the way down to Iowa's final drive of the game).

Yea, you're clearly some kind of "PSU fan", and not a Shizholean apologist douche posing as a "PSU Fan", when you believe Wisconsin deserves to be ranked higher than PSU despite PSU without question CLEARLY being the better team from a simple comparison of their performances against the THREE COMMON OPPONENTS on their schedules to date......LMFAO! (laughing at you Shizholean douche apologists posers, not with you!).

Ok. One minor point that I would like to clarify, I would rank Penn State above Wisconsin. I belive that I stated that "I can understand others ranking Bucky ahead of the Lions" which is not the same but perhaps I should have been more clear. Thanks.

Since the half time of the Minny game Penn State has gotten continuously better. The week after the OSU game I might have said if we played them 9 more times we win 1 time. However, they've gotten a lot better since then and I think we'd win 9 times. I'd love another crack at Michigan...I don't think we'd win but I think they'd give a pretty good game. With that said:
1. Michigan
2. Penn State
3. Ohio State
4. Wisky
5. UNL
6. NW
7. Minny
8. Iowa
9. Indy
10. Maryland
11. Illinois
12. Purdue
13. Sparty
14. Rutgers
