The Rose Bowl is without question the top bowl game of them all. I look forward to watching in person as the Lions play in this year's Rose Bowl. I'll admit that I am a tad nervous about "dese Utes." Their offensive line is very good (a lot of big, strong Samoans), and their defense is pretty good, too. A victory over the Utes would be a real feather in the Lions' cap. Fingers crossed.
Definitely agree about their O- line ... Hope Mustipher decides to play in the bowl.
Was actually hoping for orange even though it was unlikely for personal travel reasons. Happy with roses for the team.
Took a look at Utah's roster.
Good number of players from Utah and California, Hawaii, then other Western states. Texas is represented and Florida, too. Gotta respect what they've done to build a successful program.
Me, myself, and sons #2 and #3 will be there.
Flying into Vegas on 12/30 and will drive to Pasadena for the game.
To go to the game or not. Might be a good way to cash in my air miles and check the Rose Bowl off my bucket list
I drove around the LA area once about 20 years ago. Never again.
They would have to pay me well to go. LA is a $hithole and I don't enjoy sitting in traffic for half of a trip.
Interesting point on the Utah board. This is the last “traditional” rose bowl. It’s part of the cfp next year and then the 12 team playoff starts.
Can they move the rose bowl to some place enjoyable to visit?

Saquon's 79-yard TD run in the 2017 Rose Bowl remains my pick as the best run from scrimmage I've ever seen.
The alumni association had a nye thing at Disneyland that we enjoyed in 2009.

The kids who have never been to the West Coast will enjoy the climate and topography. The team, associated staff, band, cheerleaders, etc. will surely have their protection. It's the rest of us that should be concerned about exploring LA. Some of us know why it got to be the way it is. Some of us have lived on the West Coast.
I think it is a good change up for the team etc. It will be a good experience for them I'm sure. I would agree with the person who is flying into Vegas. That's what I would do, and would probably spend most of any leisure time there. LA must fix itself if it wants tourism.

All the majors in Utah are beneficiaries of Mormon proselytizing in Samoa. I really wish PSU could get a recognizable Samoan coach who is an adept recruiter, because HV does not sell itself to Samoan teenagers from the west. They are some damn good football players. Excited about Ione and hope like hell he gets some company!

FYI. Not a great drive from Vegas to SCal ... personally I'd rather stay in San Diego or south OC.
Fly in to Ontario Airport and take the 210 directly to Pasadena. You will avoid LAX and LA traffic.
