He wasn't given a guarantee to start and left. He went to USC--it's not like he ran to go to Gannon or Pitt. There's nothing wrong with this--it's how college football works in 2025

There is actually a hell of a lot wrong with this. You are not a college football fan so wouldn't know.
Most likely he was concerned with the new defense only using two linebackers. Money could be part of it, he is from a Pittsburgh city school, so there could be some family pressure. On the other hand, how much would USC be willing to pay for a non 2024 starter?

How the F do you know why he transferred and I’m calling bullshit that he asked for a guarantee to start. Rojas and Deluca are the starters everyone knows that. He probably got passed by Speca and Wiley. He would’ve helped with depth, but he wasn’t in the 2 deep.

We are clearly going to get a LB in the portal question is how good he will be. Can they be a starter? May be tough arriving so late but certainly possible.
Rojas will start and then is it DeLuca? What about Wylie? Speca will get time. I think or at least hope we can get a guy as good as Deluca.
