So when do we think we will hear the news tonight?

Expect to hear some Midwestern Douche say the last three PSU games were a triple header Fluke.....

I wonder if anyone will write in Pitt.

I an really excited to see where Penn State ends up in the Playoff rankings.
The low side would be about 10 and the high side would be about 8

The Selection Committee and the "CFB Playoff Rankings" has contracted with ESPN to broadcast a weekly show dedicated to the topic. The show airs at 7pm and they begin to immediately disseminate the results - starting at 25 and working downward in groups of five if I remember correctly from last week (i.e., they talk about results from the current week and how the group has changed....which teams have moved up, which teams have dropped-out and which are new to the Top 25 of the CFB Playoff Rankings). Again, if I remember correctly, they spent about 10 minutes on each grouping and then the last 10-15 minutes talking about the future and upcoming big games, etc.... That would put the disclosure, and discussion, of the grouping PSU is likely in (6-10) at about 7:30pm, I believe.

They will stay on the air until a definitive winner is determined; all night if needed:confused:

I think we end up either 8 or 9.

Florida lost ... moves us up one - 11
Nebraska lost ... moves us up one - 10
Auburns win vs Vanderbuild not impressive ... maybe moves us up one 9
TA&M lost unranked MissSt ... maybe falls enough to move us up one ... 8

Based on what the Chairman of the Selection Committee said regarding the "criteria" they are using to rank teams, it is very possible that PSU could be jumped to the highest ranked 2-Loss team due to the "strength of their resume" relative to the other 2-Loss teams - PSU has the absolute best victory of any of the 2-loss teams with the win over currently #5 daO$U and the most wins against quality opposition which the Selection Committee defines as wins over teams with >.500 records (PSU has the most of any 2-loss team, 5 of them: daO$U (8-1), Minny (7-2), Temple (7-3), Iowa (5-4) and UMd (5-4). The combined record of PSU's 9 opponents to-date of 50-24 (a combined winning percentage of 68%) - i.e., SOS - is also tops among 2-loss teams. There are only two 2-Loss teams in front of PSU at this point - Auburn and Wisconsin...based on last week's action and the "impressiveness" of last week's wins - coupled with the quality of each team's resume coming in using the "criteria" outlined by the Chairman of the Selection Committee last week on CFB Playoff Ranking's Show - PSU could easily be moved to #7 behind the remaining 4 undefeated P5 teams and two 1-loss teams (i.e., daO$U and Louisville) from last week's rankings. This would leave Wisconsin at #8 and Auburn at #9 precisely where they were last week. This is certainly nowhere close to beyond the realm of possibilities given what the Chairman of the Selection Committee said on last week's CFB Playoff Rankings show about both the "selection criteria" and PSU's ranking specifically.
