I read where four Freshman were recorded running 4.4s, and two averaged in the 4.3s according to the avg. between 8 stop watches. And the four didn't include Lamont Wade or KJ Hamler. It didn't specifically mention all their times but the four freshman were Journey Brown (big surprise), TJ Johnson, Tariq Castro-Fields, and some walk on I never heard of.
What is unbelievable to me are who the genius scouting analyst were that ranked 6-2 TJ Johnson who was timed at a 4.35! as a lower 3 star recruit. Than similar 6-2 Tariq Castro-Fields that runs in the 4.4s to only have him as a 3 star and ranked in the 40's on the list for best CBs in the nation.
How many 6-2 corners do you see in college or the NFL run 4.4s, let alone 4.3s. With Wade, TJ Johnson, Castro-Fields, Zech McPhearson, and other promising corner recruits, this may be the future best group of CBs.
How does a tad smaller Jordan Miner who ran a 4.79 be ranked higher than a 6-2 TJ Johnson that runs a 4.35? Thats not a knock on Jordan Miner, because it looks like he has great ball skills. In the article they mentioned how surprised that Castro-Fields was ranked so low.
