this weekend, but haven't made any plans to get there. I have many friends going to the game, but they all have their flights or drives scheduled. They also have lodging booked as well. Unfortunately I can't take off until Friday AFTER work.
It's tough to get from Chicago to State College on a budget this late in the game. I have a few questions:
1) Is the drive from Baltimore to State College better than Pittsburgh to State College? Flying into Pittsburgh is more difficult than I thought. Not as many early morning flights on Saturday. Plus it appears to be more expensive than Baltimore.
Ideally I would get to State College by 1pm Saturday and leave after breakfast and ice cream Sunday morning to catch a flight in Baltimore back to Chicago.
2) I am not worried about lodging as much, but anyone know of any Saturday night places only that might be available? Worst Case Scenario is I stay at a roadside place on the way to Baltimore, but I want to spend a few hours in the morning on campus.
3) Any other suggestions are welcome. I wish I would have planned this trip months ago! I could flown into Harrisburg or even State College for much cheaper. I have a friend Miami that is also making this last minute decision, so we are trying to fly into and out of the same airport.
